you have to convert the ringtone you make into .wmv format if you want to use it as a text message ringtone

unfortunately yes. both verizon and a t & t have adopted the strong arm policy with ALL smartphones that used to only be applied to the iphone. you have no choice but to pay a minimum 30 bucks xtra for data even though the devices have wifi. this practice should be outlawed

your not really good at these videos but this is a pretty neat phone...i dont think its for me...its too much going on...all i like to do is play games text nd talk...i dnt need tv because i have 5 in my house nd half my day im in school...i dnt need radio because i have that nd an MP# so...its too much for me...i would be wasting my money on only using 1/4 of the phone...nd its kinda slow...i want it to be quick

Nice review. Only negative is that you need to keep your right thumb still when you discuss actions on the phone. You are describing functions and then bounce your thumb around like you are doing some action with it when in fact you are only pointing with it. It is confusing and distracting.

for sure not the storm, I've had the touch pro 2 one of the let downs with it is WinMo 6.1 and the other issue of it's size, i haven't had a chance to get hands on with the omnia 2 but from what i can see it's shaping up to be a great device, but if you don't mind the size or older OS the touch pro 2 is for you

That depends how important the slide-out keyboard is to you. If you'd much rather have that than the virtual QWERTY keyboard, then the Touch Pro 2. But if you're not interested in that, the Imagio has a better camera (one of the best on the market) and it not as thick as the Pro 2. Their features other than the hardware are very similar, though.

How does this phone compare to the Omnia 2? And being that its a world phone... does that mean that i can use a SIM card when in other countries or must I roam on Verizons network? Thanks

Well the Omnia 2 had an AMOLED display which is just brilliant, but for me it would come down to what you look for in an OS. The Omnia 2 has multiple homescreens and gadgets/widgets, and HTCs use TouchFlo 3D. I'm pretty sure the Imagio has a Sim Card preinstalled so it should work internationally. The Omnia 2 is currently available in unlocked GSM but I think the Imagio is $199 with a 2 year deal from Verizon.

Well I could actualy care less about the slide out qwerty, im just looking for a new phone since im out of contract, and verizon looks to be the best carrier except that theyr'e pretty limited on android phones. So if you dont mind what would you recomend getting from any OS on any provider. Just throw a few out their if you dont mind, thanks

So on any provider... other than HTCs, the Palm Pre has a great OS for multitasking, the iPhone OS is fairly self-explanatory (APPS), I'm told the Nokia N97 is very good although I haven't looked into it much myself...

But it pretty much depends on what you need in a phone. Other than making calls, what are your preferences?

So it'll definitely be interesting. About this phone... it looks basically like the TP2 without the keyboard. Pretty sweet.
