I don't know but 580HP for a twin-turbo V10 sounds kind of weak considering the M5's NA V10 is capable of 500, and with Audi's stubborn philosophy of nose-heavy cars, I can't imagine it being nothing more than another straight-line queen that happens to be AWD.

You need more power because of the losses in the quattro drivetrain.

About the philosophy of nose-heavy cars, it's really stubborn indeed.

It's due to the quattro era where the rallycar actually had engine and driver positions identical to the roadgoing quattro unlike others.

Luckily they came up with the B8 MLP platform ('08 A4/'07 A5) which has the engine mostly and the transaxle (except for the axle part) fully behind the front-axle.
