WOW, i loved this song but i never knew the name of the song or the band. I was trying to remeber the lyrics and i couldnt remember them and it was driving me crazy, and then when I was listening to Everlong by Foo Fighters, I saw this and it snapped into my head "thats what it was called, thats the song no doubt" and its true and it makes me pretty happy

it's amazing how brandons voice is absolute perfection in a live performance. I mean watch almost any live performance and you get perfect vocals. Not a crack. I mean who else can do that? Just imagine you were that close to the band performing and you were singing your heart out. It would actually ruin the entire gig. Notice how many of us are annoyed by audience unnecessarily shouting while a band is performing onstage. The conduct of the audience here is just appropriate for an "intimate" live show.

You've COMPLETElY missed the point of Brandon's lyrical genius. He uses driving as a metaphor for living, where he talks about his struggle with fear and letting it "take the wheel" or control of his life. The chorus talks about embracing whatever life throws at you "with open arms and eyes". Fucking great song though ey?
