@whitfury:Rion looked weird in the PS1 game but in PS2's Galerians Ash the teen Rion looks good..He was made just like he looks in this movie..I think they need to do prequel games so people can understand the Galerians story better..That way they can also remake the old games with improvements to port them to new systems..They can also follow these up with a improved Anime movie..The movie left so much out compared to the PS1 game and they never even bothered to make a Galerians Ash movie.

I just watched this the whole way through, having never heard of the game, and morbidly enjoyed it. I think the graphics were quite good for it's time, and although the plot is a bit all over the place, the moral of the need of parental love is one that isn't approached enough.

The music is from the Japanese version or so I have heard. I guess they released it in both languages with both soundtracks or something because it was an all-American soundtrack when it aired on MTV2. I know because I saw it! ^_^

hazehound187: I agree..sadly they don't seem to care what the fans think..When they want to end a game series..Film series or anything, they just end it..I think it should be a international law that before they can end a game..book series..TV shows and other good stuff that they MUST first put it to a vote of the people that are fans..Let them decide not big corporations and companies. @Thefilthyblood It's from the Game Galerians made back in 1999 by Polygon Magic, the voice acting is better in the movie I'm afraid, but I love Dorothy's voice in the game, she sounds so much creepier!

its a bit like Silent hill 2 or Resident Evil 4. those where good games but they keep comeing out with sequal after sequal. aand the point of horror is to have the mystary in it. I think people understand unbrella is evil and silent hill may be cursed by now.

but still one more sequal or rebot would be nice =)

@PolizePaul First off, You can't compare an excellent franchise like Galerians to Silent Hill 2, that's just disturbing. Silent Hill 2 was a sell out game from Konami, worst Silent Hill game EVER! This is coming from a hard core Silent Hill/Resident Evil Fan, i've played almost all of them, would have played them all if I wasn't lacking in extra cash for the new consoles. x.x And second, Sure why not a third game? But then again Polygon Magic and Sammi Studios got lazy. @_@

Silent Hill 2 wasn't the best in the series but it deserves much more credit than Silent Hill 4. I do hope they make a third Galerians game though...I think.

@LinkinParkHotspur I've played both, and all I am saying is that I didn't like Silent hill 2 as much, for me it wasn't a good experience, way off from the initial eerieness that is Silent Hill(Not speaking for the Nurses they scared me shitless) But yeah, Silent Hill 4 wasn't the best either but just speaking my opinion, I would much rather play that then the 2nd one anyday, no offense.

I think that your opinion is definitely part of a very small minority but that doesn't mean it's wrong. My personal opinion is that Silent Hill 4 was a disgrace to the series, much more than 2 was. Silent Hill 4 was the only game in the series where you didn't even go to Silent Hill at any point during the game.

It even said he was going back to the forest in silent hill, the subway, and I thought the apartments...Of course it all could be based outside of Silent hill, but I was confident that he visted Silent Hill periodically. I didn't like the Snd because of the endings. They were so crazy...Makes me scared of the 5th X-Play stated that one would be returning to the elements of Silent Hill 2.

@Rayne456 Nope, none of those locations were inside of Silent Hill. When you go to the forest in the beginning of the game, there's a sign (I think) that says "Silent Hill" and there's an arrow pointing away from the forest. The forest is the closest that you get to actually being in Silent Hill. I'm 99% sure that all of the locations are based near Silent Hill but not in it. I actually haven't played SH5 yet...

well i really liked it, mostly bc they didnt drag it out too long, series should never be too long, every story got a end and if you drag the walk to it for too long it just gets boring even with the best chars and plot.

ending it so people sit and think that they want more but it ended in a good round way gives you the feeling it was a good time spend watching it

To me the beauty of the Galerians story comes from its depressive and tragic atmosphere and Rion's death makes it even more like that.

Besides,he comes back as a clone in Galerians:Ash I think...wish I could play that one.

Oh, and Galerians would have been a mirror of Akira though, wouldn't? Akira was made in 1989, and the PS1 Galerians game was created in 1999. That's a ten year difference. Kinda odd how a game that was made 10 years after an anime movie has the original type of idea. Lol. Don't get me wrong, though, I LOVE Galerians, and it's more interesting to me than Akira really. You really should play Galerians Ash..Very great game..The movie is actually what got me hooked on Galerians..I had no idea at first that the movie is based on a PS1 game (Galerians)..You should be able to find Galerians and Galerians Ash on ebay fairly easily.

I found an old Anime too that kind'a mirrors this same movie it's called Akria but it's not about man vs computer although the character Tetsuo does have powers like Rions. When I get it touched up enough color and graphic wise I'll post it too.

Akira is sort of much different though, isn't it? lol. Had chance to buy Akira for like $5 at a place called Hastings. I ended up getting something else, a game of some sort, I think. Either way, Galerians is one of my favorite anime. I heard it was an adaption to a game a little bit after I watched it, like the next day. Very cool, I wanna play them!

I wish. I've been wanting to play the games ever since I watched the movie and found out there were games. Before I had found out that there were games, which was like a few days after I watched it, I thought to myself that it would make a bad ass game. lol. With my tastes in games, I'd probably have a better feel for the PS1 game, though the graphics for the ps2 would probably keep me interested in the game play a little more. Do you own them?
