Well done and great results so far, its really hard struggling with weight - no it well, I will also be having a VSG soon.
Maybe you can try riding a bike, its give the whole body a good workout including the Cardio System, situps, pushups etc are all good and help tone the tummy and arms. Also maybe look at what you are eating and think back to what you were eating when you were loosing weight see whats changed. Don't give up we've done that too many times and look what happened. Good luck.
Hi Wendy, i hear you and it's as if I'm the one telling my story LOL! I'm currently on 4 months of my surgery and going through the exact problems as you. What advice can you give me? Thnks will greatly appreciate it.
Your rapid weight loss is affecting you hormone balance. You may also have an iron deficiency. Your hair may grow back thinner or shorter. Make sure your are taking a Mulitvitamin with Iron. In adition you need B12 this will help with your energy. You need to consume 600 mcg (micro grams) 3 times per week or 1200 mcg once a week if taken using drops. You can get a shot from your phyiscan also. If you contact me I have a lot of other info that may help you.
Eat 4 oz. of protein and vegetables three times daily. No snacks, no caloric drinks of any kind. No sugar... Drink water all day until 1/2 hour before meals. Don't drink during meals.
Make sure you have your thyroid checked... hair loss, fatigue and weight gain are all symptoms... i had problems undiagnosed for years until my hair started falling out.. better to be safe than sorry.. wouldn't hurt to check :-)

Didn't you have to go through the process of attending inservices, cardiology, sleep study, nutritionist, psychology, weight management program (3 month)? I guess it depends on what type of insurance you have.
The inservices alone is a plethora of information from others who have gone though, or will be going through the surgery. I think you are a brave woman for doing the surgery, and posting videos. Check into attending some inservices at local hospitals, 99% of them are free and open to the public!
hair loss is normal.. ur body kinda goes into starvation mode.. i have been taking pre natal gummies.. i'm not pregnant but they really help.. also i take b12 for energy.. i have been doing p90x for toning up.. it has helped soooo much.. also those easy tone shoes are amazing.. let me know if i can help
I recommend weight watchers. You'll learn a lot and loose weight. Join a Zumba class and don't drink your calories. Walk a lot and sprint a few times in between walking taking your heart rate up and down as you catch your breath. Decrease your carbs and increase your protein. You look great:)
im at my 13 week post op...u have to have to haveto eat 60 to 80 grams of protein, this is a must!!!! n vitamins!!if u dont eat at leats 1200 calories ur body goes into starvation mode without u knowing!!! my dr. has me back in the office often, n tells me this.
Regarding the hair loss, it is a side effect of the anesthesia. It surgery shocks the body and the hair loss happens with all types of surgery it is not just us weight loss surgery people.
I stall all the time Up you excersize time mabey run a little- I ride a bycicle around my neighborhood I have worked my way from 3 mile rides to 15 miles ( about 90 minutes )
1000 calories a day is a good goal and avoid carbs when ever possible.
For me & my sleeve, I take in about 1000 calories a day. Watch the starchy carbs. Keep away from the white stuff (bread, pasta, potatoes, rice, etc.). I don't use any protein shakes as I get enough protein in my food (76 gms). If you get tired during the day, protein is a good idea. I go through periods of not losing weight, but then it kicks in again. You can add fish oil capsules to your vitamins for your hair. Mine is still coming out but I think it is finally starting to slow down.
I love to use the Leslie Sansone work out videos. (They are all based on in home walking, but throws other steps in there) Recently I have been using the Power series, and I love them. They make me sweat like crazy.......and my husband whom is mostly muscle. They are easy to comprehend, but the instructor says "it's not sissy stuff". lol =)
So thank you so very much!! I took ur advice and I went ahead and ordered the videos so hopefully I'll get them soon and start them, I really need to try something new. I'm ganna order the thigh and hip work out one.

I am REALLY surprised you were given no direction on what or how much to eat. Before I get my surgery I have to jump through a bunch of hoops.

Forgot to add the hair loss will stop eventually about the 6 month mark is usual.
I am 6 months out and it is still falling out but I think it is slowing down now. I am noticing baby hairs growing in too.
I use coffee for an energy boost but I have heard drinking more water helps too.
