  • what was that sauce he added after the sugar?

  • @baritonepiercer1

you can use thin egg noodles or linguine, but in most chain grocery stores they carry lo mein noodles

  • What kind of noodles though?!

  • the 'secret' ingriedent is soy sauce...lol

  • when i stir fry the beef it is remains raw and or hard but when we have beef dishes in resturants in hongkong the stir fried beef is sooo soft and well cooked i dont know how they do it.

  • When i see beef the title went GLIICHHGIEeeEEE! <-- Brok glase

  • LOL secret ingredient......soy sauce lol... i bought a wok gonna start using your recipies great vids.

  • great chef. personable and informative. I'm learning how to make wokery food at my job and it's my first time working with asian styles of cooking and all of your videos have been great and entertaining as well. Thank you

  • Lol the "secret" is soy sauce

  • what's the difference chow mein and lo mein?

  • lol kai: you want to marinate this one for 5 days ok?.

  • what did he say from 1:41-1:43

  • @Twinkiiman1 I believe he said, "A little bit of corn starch, to thicken. Stir them up."

  • what did he say at 1:01-1:03?

  • @Twinkiiman1 "A cup of beef broth"

  • I believe the noodles used were yaki soba noodles or chinese egg noodles. Can you also use Shiritaki noodles? I love this video :D I love all of these videos.

  • Kai what kind of noodles do you use? Some of my friends use spaghetti noodles when making some sort of stir fry, but I find it to be very dry and it doesn't soak up sauce as well oppose to whatever noodles your using. Thanks.

  • Still laughing at (I'll be dead by then.)

  • What kind of noodles do I get from a store like albertsons, or frys? do you precook the noodles in water before throwing them in? Thanks!

  • what can I use as a substitute for the sherry? I don't drink or cook with alcohol.

  • i just made this, and all i can taste or smell is seasme oil, i dont think i like it at all.

  • @77Hog77 sesame oil is very strong, so you have to be very careful when you cook with it. I'd say sticking to regular cooking oil would be just fine

  • so yummy xie xie thank you thank you thank you

  • Thanks Kai for taking the the time to do these vids, you're one of the best. I've told many people 'boutcha!, even cashiers at the local grocery store...

  • Great recipe, thanks

  • Can I use Pansit Rice Noodles ?

  • @irfand4 I can't give you an "official" or "authentic" answer but I do know that with noodles you can generally substitute any noodles for any other noodles. It may not produce an authentic result but if you like the result, which will certainly be edible, then success is yours! It's a case of suck it and see. Rice noodles are very different from wheat noodles so the result would be very different too.

  • kai: 5 days world: holy shit

  • how important is it to use/have the sesame oil? I have all of the ingredients except that.

  • It's not crucial, but sesame oil adds a fantastic aromatic flavor. You could probably make it without the sesame oil, but it won't smell or taste as good.
