Absolutely ghastly. I've never heard a bad version of this great song until now. Tell me, what exactly does that insipid "huh-uh" signify emotively or relevantly?
Jamie Woon is outstanding! I first saw him perform on Newton Faulkner's tour of modest venues... He blew everyone in that Northern crowd away with this song! We all stood there with our mouths open and goose bumps running up and down our spines... you just had to take take a few moments to digest what you just heard... then you realise, it's something so much more than special! I hope to hear more from Mr Woon very soon!
This is actually quite nice, the people bashing it probably have little understanding as to what technology is at work here, and how it lends itself to a very organic improvisation. One drawback here is that he's NO Jamie Lidell, which this type of performance is definately (whether intentionally or not) mirroring, though on a very superficial level. cjeck out Jamie Lidell's live performances and you'll see what I mean. But this guy doesn't have such a bad voice. Nice one.
