ARM's are supposed to be capped at a top rate. Next, mortgages are supposed to be held physically by the bank that issued it, not securitized and scattered to the far corners of the earth. Third, when a bank has more liabilities than assest, they are in bankruptcy and either have to make good or go out of business. Now why can't the banks renegotiate the mortgages and take their "haircut" rather than mass foreclosures which would depress the market and cripple the economy?

ARM's are supposed to be capped at a top rate. Next, mortgages are supposed to be held physically by the bank that issued it, not securitized and scattered to the far corners of the earth. Third, when a bank has more liabilities than assest, they are in bankruptcy and either have to make good or go out of business. Now why can't the banks renegotiate the mortgages and take their "haircut" rather than mass foreclosures which would depress the market and cripple the economy?

@vheed44 the purpose of the jobs bill is deficit at first then growth in 2 years. the jobs bill will create taxable revenue with the saved jobs on level 1 tax revenue.. then it will create level 2 tax revenue because all thos people put to work will come off of unemployment{ a direct drain} and thus reduce that deficit..level 3 tax revenue will be these new hires can pay their mortgage and food bills so forclosures will drop and banks will have increased TAXABLE REVENUE ,plus the glut goes away
