@penguinsonsteroids because it gets you more army at the expense of fewer upgrades, and that is AWESOME in that it allows you to push any time from 7 to 10 minutes, so you can instantly react to a perceived weakness... but it's bad in that you are a 1 trick pony, your push is entirely centered around advancing your tanks until they are ni range of the natural, if that doesn't work, you've got a weak ass followup. the 2-1-1 has the OPTION of tank/banshee, but also the option of 3M.
@penguinsonsteroids also, i 'invented' or 'stumbled upon' or 'frankenstein'd together' the 2-1-1 myself, and used it for a very long time before i heard of the 1-1-1 tank banshee stuff, so then when i heard of the 1-1-1, i was like 'im already doing something that achieves the same goal, its not really worth the effort to switch' :) if it aint broke why fix it. I feel like if i was gonna do a tourney and take it seriously i'd have to practice more tvp builds, but i never will, so 2-1-1 ftwin.
demuslim vs bling: 2 successful cheeses for demuslim, 3 successful cheeses for bling, 1 failed cheese for bling, and then 2-1 bling came out ahead on macro games. notice how the player who cheesed won in 5 out of 6 games :p greedy macro style play is so cheese-able :(
ur explanations are very accurate and appropriate, ur dooin pretty much the same work as most casters but u re doin this more clearly. SC is all about spending, macro and benchmarks, compositions are not that important and micro is pretty much meaningless. When the ppl flame me(i am masters too) they ask WHY WHY WHY- this unit/strat op!
and then i say look at the spending tab - u'll find ur answers there
thanks for the series halb, i really like how you always say that there's nothing to say at the beginning of games, but your commentary intros are always the best [ explaining map dinamics and what-not ].
I really would like you to comment some pro gamers, i really think your analysis is the best one i've seen as far as replays go.
what map is this??
