I suppose we could use that terminology, but calling it a projective line, or as we shall do later a hyperbolic line, or in fact just ``a line'', connects more naturally with our usual 2 dim picture, in which it appears just as an ordinary line (in almost all cases).

I'm wondering if the projective line could also be called a "projective pencil" since it appears to be identical to a pencil fo lines.
