I've posted a much better version, with better picture and sound. For some reason it won't let me use it as a video response here. But just look under my name.
@supermoserre i'm going to say yes, but i'm not 100%. i paused @ 1:12 and the headstock is bang on. the rest looks right too but there are so many knockoffs. . .
@supermoserre i put a different neck on my strat. . .the head is an exact copy but of course it doesn't say fender. i can't see any fender decals or markings on the guitar mark is playing
Unfortunately, this is very muddy picture and sound, with the audio too low. I've posted an HD version for better viewing. This is really too good a performance not be seen at its best.
I saw the Everleys sing this at the Bristol Hippodrome many years ago, the incredible Albert Lee on guitar, fantastic performance of a beautiful song. I don't think there was a dry eye in the place.
Just can't get enough of this video. Love the PBS special "Chet Atkins: Certified Guitar Player" with all these fabulous musicians. Lived in Phil & Don's home area for 30 years and knew many of their relatives and friends. There was a lot of musical talent there and it's really nice to see these brothers be so successful. This is the prettiest thing they've ever sung and my all-time favorite.
Wasn't Mr. Atkins wonderful? This old world needs more gentle men like him!
I listen to this song over and over. With all the junk that is out there I can't believe that this masterpiece has 5,500 hits and a smoking monkey may have a million. I guess there is no explanation for bad taste. The world misses you Chester we also miss Lester. Well, Mark you can take this off your bucket list. Now if you could only sing with Emmylou. Oh yeah, you can take that off your bucket list too.
I am a big Mark Knopfler fan. I bet he has a photo framed of the shot at 2:22. Two of the true guitar gods of precision and tone....especially tone. Even Clapton says he is envious of Mark's tone.
@23aprilmay i agree.Sometimes family members singing together ,to me, have like the same resonance in their voice and harmony. George Martin said he thought believe it or not that the Bee Gees had better harmony than the Beatles.
I love this video and song. Beautiful harmony singing by Don and Phil. Thank you AGJ for sharing, I have never been able to find this DVD. Thank you gracelandforever83 for posting. 5*****
@ebfan41, such a great performance! It was occasionally on e bay from a UK seller in a NTSC format that we can play in North America, [they use PAL format in UK and Europe].
@AGibsonJ Thanks for sharing. I really love these sessions. So many of the great musicians have gone from us. I was especially saddened to hear of the loss of Terry McMillan.
@AGibsonJ Can you imagine being Mark Knopfler and having your idols sing a song you wrote especially for them (so brilliantly) -- and playing guitar while listening to that performance? He must have had chills.
4 grote artiesten, fijn om weer te horen en te zien....

@Chiselnyc I can only add that playing with the guitar legend, Chet Atkins, had to be a treat as well.
