Right. This may sound kinda stupid. But I've got a lot of data on my wii that I do NOT want to lose... I'm very paranoid that opening my wii and fiddling around with the innards could maybe like... format the whole system. Like, perhaps nintendo put in a function that if you open up the system it just wipes the whole system... I've never seen anyone make any complaints about a problem like this, but I just want to be dead certain before I try and do it... Does anyone know if this could happen?
@JackH96981 It's perfectly fine. I've done it twice, and It hasn't formatted on me. The only thing that changed was the time. The battery being removed just changes the clock.
@thecommenter231 Yes, online (ebay) is probably the best place to find a CMOS battery and if replaced, the system data will indeed be reset and if you do not backup your data, you're screwed.
that is not his voice....there is a program on wondows, if you type something in and then click it to speak,it will say whatever you typed. i once typed in:shut the fuck up and when my uncle came to ask me a favor i clicked speak, and he got pretty pissed:P

his voice could be a double edge sword, he could be acting the part of a zombie from zombieconsole website, or he could be masking his true identity like batman. Thanks your video was informative.

Ouch, Needle nose plyers tore/cut the red cord to the white connector when removing the faceplate. How can I fix this? Please help.
Stufftough 1 year ago
@Stufftough You don't really have to. Those wires just power the blue lights on the faceplate.

jmichell05 1 year ago
damn , but what does that cable do?
chela2020 1 year ago
@chela2020 Powers the lights on the front panel. If you can live without the lights then it's not really a problem.
ConsoleZombie 1 year ago
what happens if the cable that goes from the part with the eject button and the power button to the wii itself is missing
chela2020 1 year ago
@chela2020 You mean the two wires? Well then you'll have to find a new faceplate.
