I've been thinking this for the longest. Why in the hell would of group of white want to be replaced by blackmen for the sake of affirmative action. It's border-line brazen.
The shame is that this video only has 300 views. Lets hope each view becomes one black company.
If we are going to open business planning to do well, we need to be innovative. Opening a soulfood restaurant in the south is not innovative, considering everyone and their grandma can cook these foods. One of the reasons (let least around my way) why foreign food joints are doing well is b/c they are serving foods that most people cannot cook, do not want to cook, BUT SURELY WANTS TO EAT!
Thank you for this vid pinkk yet again you speak sense. Please forward this vid to swp so he can hear that you DONT have to be a multi billionaiie to start a business! & you dont need a bank loan either! All businesses start small but some grow faster than others. He doesnt know ANYTHING about business and he makes excuses for bm as to why they DONT network. I'm currently starting a business and i know for at least 3 years it will be small and i wont be making much but its about OWNERSHIP.
I've been saying this forever. I'm a black male and I have my own business, and whenever i hire... i hire black. I also patronize black businesses as much as possible. I feel as though if we don't make it a responsibility to do this, nobody else will.... and if they do... we will always come second at best.
Good video. I have never understood why black people allow asians to enter our communities and start businesses that we could easily start ourselves. We aren't taking advantage of the free market, we can make as much money as we want if we are industrious and have the right ideas.
Umm.. not all Asians were put in internment camps. Just the Japanese. Most of the Asians I usually see with businesses in the black community are the Chinese, followed by Koreans, and then Vietnamese.
Not all of them get grant money. Low interest rate loans is most likely the source of money.
We need basic businesses, grocery stores, restaurants pharmarcies, swap meets, furnishings. Basic businesses. A lot of the notion that blacks have to create super businesses comes from the WEB DuBois talented tenth garbage that shun small black entrepreneurship favoring elitist black professional class. Basically this is the labor/employee relationship today. We go out as labor, to be consumers and w/e someone wants to replace you; you'll have no say. Good video, we need basic businesses
I wouldn't discount the WEB Dubois too much; I think there is room for both the Dubois perspective & the Booker T. Washington perspective.
Our problem as black people is that we have a tendency to go to ideological extremes & then get upset because those extremes failed to serve our needs. We do this with voting, we do this with our insane fealty to gangsta rap, & we do this with the lessons that we instill in our kids teaching them that college is the end-all-be-all....
What I am saying is that there is room in the black world, for the professor, the mechanic, and the entrepreneur. Let us black folks use ALL the ideals, philosophical schools, and ideologies at our disposal.
The end-all-be-all mindset is limiting at best, at worst this thought process is our continued enslavement.
I didn't even listen to the whole video...this one gets 5 stars

5 Stars Brother......
Black people when they get into white organisations tend to prefer to hire white to look more cosmopolitan and be accepted by white folk.

Also, blacks need to get more involved with the invention of technologies, we are already good on the consumer end.

The government gives asians grant money to start businesses. Reparations from the "internment camps" incident.
