At first I thought the rising was corny with zombie talking and stuff. But then he explain the source of what was causing people to return and it turned out to be pretty good. City of the dead was even better.

Man, the Rising was graphic! Good book, but if they made it into a movie (there might be one already out, I never looked into it) they would have to cut out a LOT of scenes, especially the ones with Frankie and the National Guard (ESPECIALLY the part with Kramer at the end).

Nope, the rights wente back to Brian Keene, however I agree they'd cut quite a few parts, with the one you mention being among them, but don't forget other great graphic scenes such as the zombie children

I'm reading the Rising now, and from all the reviews, I thought it was going to be even better than Dead Sea, but I was kind of disappointed. Doesnt grasp the zombie concept too well.
