  • OMG I reamember every thing. Not fair. Thanks for sharing. Addis abebaye... Yene!

  • Beautiful video.

  • beutiful place , its condrick what we see on tv ,,,hopefully i will visit ethopia one day

  • I think as a black american man married to an habisha woman I would be discriminated against if I moved to Ethiopia.

I wanted to open a business there but I am worried.

    Any advice

  • why would you think that way? have you been to Eth. before? truly, it does not matter if you are black (African) American or white, or even habesha..., if you show any sign of you not being from there, people would wanna hustle you for what you got. Since you are married to a habesha woman, you should not be worried about being discriminated against. To be honest, even I, when i go back, get picked on by some. as i said, they try to hustle me, but i won't let them go far.

  • wow! dont worry about that at all! me and my dad just did! and btw! im have an ethiopian too :O my familiy havent been there for sometime! my dad was born in norway .. and boy we were worried just like you .. hehe .. hope you do well..

    live.love.laugh.

  • I disagree 100%. Ethiopians here and Ethios back home are totally different. I think you are basing it on your experience with habesha folks here. Back home money is truly king, they dont give a shit what color your. If you open a business there and give people jobs you will be well respected & loved.

  • maybe at the begening u will have problem if u dont know the tradition but as u are married to an ethiopian women people may take time to understand u but i dont think it`s something to worry that much if u find this kind of person it`s on u to make him understand where all brother`s

  • So I shouldnt learn Tegrinya? I dont want the TPLF giving me problems cause my wifes Gurage.

  • she`s ethiopian i dont think u should even have this in ur mind it wont matter what do u have the tplf to look for u ur just there to invest so think about it why would they ur helpin people by givin job opportunity

Inspite of some problem we have with this government, I will give them some credit for bringing a solid change to my beloved Addis. Soon I will fly out to Addis and enjoy it, hey may be it is going to be a one way ticket back home. I love my people and my country.

  • I love Ethiopia I will be back in November 2008 a beautiful country with a proud people as a british born person of Jamaican decent. I am always treated well when I'm in Ethiopia I am sorry I won't be able to make it to the Millennium celebration in September.

  • I love the music nice bass line who is it?

  • The song is by GIGI.

  • If you saw Ethiopia as the beautiful country as it is. If you got to know it like i did. If you spent some time there with the people. You would fall in love with the country and its people. I thought the same as all of you out there, but getting to know everything changed my mind. Like the others said spread love!! And i say...proud to be ethiopian.

  • it is not just sad it makes u dispeakable to see how the HATE IS DEEPROOTED. IT IS NOT BEING LOVED IT IS LOVE THAT IS THE THING WE ALL LOST. SO STOP THE HATE AND SPREAD LOVE IT IS NOT TO LET TO BE UNITED.

  • Ethiopia; if it is not hunger, it is HIV epidemic; if it is not HIV, it is malaria epidemic, if it is not malaria, it is despair; if it is not despair, then it is back to square one to hunger and human misery!

  • f"*k u

  • the bottle is half full, it's only how you choose to look at it; it's the almighty gift to us to control the thoughts that enter our small and powerful brain. I personally love Ethiopia and Ethiopians and I must confess that the ladyz are the best looking and sooooooooooooooo umhhhhhh no doubt, daaaaaaaamn.. I love you Queen of Shibba and I find you lovable ;)

  • That is a terribly narrowminded view of the situation. They are a proud and happy people and I love the country.

  • Between 1528 and 1535 Ahmed Gran succeeded in over-running considerable portions of the Ethiopian empire and penetrated far north, reaching Kassala in 1535. He captured main Ethiopian cities like Wallo and Habsinia (the old name of Addis Ababa (which is made up of Somali words; which in Somali language means "place which deceives people" since it has deceptive weather).

  • He ruled the whole of Ethiopia for about twelve years. "Ethiopian power appeared to be completely broken, and the Emperor Lebna Dengal had to take refuge in the mountains. Many of the people were converted to Islam, and according to an Ethiopian chronicler, "hardly one in ten retained his religion.
