TO ACCEPT JESUS INTO YOUR LIFE SAY THIS PRAYER WITH FAITH :) Lord God. I come to You a sinner and I humbly repent of my sins. I believe that Jesus is Lord and I believe You raised Him from the dead. I ask that Jesus will come into my life and be my Lord and Savior. I receive Jesus to change and take control of my life that I may live for Him from this day forth and from now on. Thank You Lord Jesus for saving me and cleansing me with Your precious blood. In Jesus name, Amen.
that was a really good ending, if they were never terrorized by it, there would be no reason for all those cars to stop and so many people would have died. Was It really a demon? maybe it knew what would happen if they never rode down that road and tried to prevent the cars from crashing by doing those things to them.
@yadnom1000 Yes, nothing more touching than reading about 7 children engaging in a gang bang with the semi abused girl so that they could all bond together and reach a higher plane of empathy and understanding.
@yadnom1000 Agreed but with the addition of Pet Semetary, the Shining, Duma Key, Misery, Christine and Skeleton Crew and Night Shift, and my personal favorite, Wizard and Glass, Dark Tower IV
@harisbaki In the middle of reading misery right now, ive only seen the movie and i have a copy of pet semetary waiting to be read, stephen king says in the new intro that he keeps pet semetary locked in a draw, is it really that scary?
i like how at the end pennywise got killed:D i had a dream when penny wise was about to eat richie and me in the attaic i got a gun and shot pennywise in the head
the most a clown has ever touched me was a pat on the head which i see nothing wrong with,i have never been to a party where the clown is molesting the kids.
I love how this closely sticks to the book's ending... Specifically, how we have to and revisit the painful moments of our childhoods so that we can live in the present and move on (without continuing to have the past haunt us)...
lol i like how at the last intersection, ALL cars from ALL lanes decide to just go ahead and head right into a collision. Thanks to the bike they doomed them all to living :(
ah i remember really liking this movie back when i originally saw it. I read somewhere the monster or "it" was used again or at least refrenced in another stephen king book which also provided some back story to what the creature was. anybody know if this is true?
@andromeda99239 I forget why, I read it over the summer. I think it has something to do with how her dad chases her and asking her if shes a virgin saying that "he knows how to check". I guess it was one of them things that show that her dad doesn't control her...
dam it.... i thought this was the climax....I wanted to see the climax. This ending is pretty close to the original, ill assume the movie was primarily the same.
i really liked the scene where the 7 kids hug each others, friends in the sorrow and in behaviors, King is not only good for his scary stuff: The Body (stand by me), Dreamcatcher, and It, are all about deep friendship, the ones that every one of us would kill for have, you can relate with characters and feel happy or sad for them, even if they aren't real.
this is what happens when stephen king has input. with the original movie version of the shining, no stephen king. then we had later a made for tv movie, which no one remembers, with stephen king.
@hawkfur1 No, it won't. King has declared that it's not sure if Pennywise is really defeated, and that (s)he has laid eggs, it's declared by Stephen King.
This was the longest and greatest book I've read, so much story to it. After seeing the movie as a child, I later decided to read the book, which made the movie look like shit. The way King uses phrases and words in this book, is fucking terrifying. There's no way to describe it lol. The ending was heartwarming; Bill forgetting about It and his friends. Saddens me knowing I'll never find a book like this, ever again. Best coming of age story yet..
@DroppedYourSoap Thanks for tellin' me a lil bit about the book. I jus' got done talking to my dad about the movie & the novel, and he said the novel SHITS on the movie. He said it's like an 800 or 900 page book! I so want to read the book now! Mainly b/c it has such a great story to it, and I also typically go for Horror & Mystery novels.
Cheers that helped alot but it's still a bit of a pain in the arse when your in the middle of watching it and you have to flip it over if you know where I'm coming from but I will watch the rest of it tonight thanks
And audrey recovers as they have now both overcome a terrible nightmare....only to be stuck in the middle of the intersection by a van......drivin by pennywise
thanks 4 bloggin dis it helped loads coz i go t dvd of it and didnt finish like this 1 does du u know anyone else with same problem as me if u do can u help me plz :D
I'm not gonna bash the series or go on about how the book is better, even though it is. But it also really stretches the ending out in a way the movie can't. The characters begin again to forget each other and the past events in Dairy. One of the best lines is the end describing how Bill every so often wakes up from his dreams almost remembering his childhood and the friends he had spent it with. Very moving
@yohb7 Oh no the book goes further into detail of repressed memory and the psychological effect this had on the kids. Some things so tragic and frightening can cause you to repress and forget about it all together. That's what happened here and with the memory of IT, the losers forgot about each other as well. at 1:51 Mike says him and Bill joke about their failing memories. Its because they are all leaving Dairy and will soon forget each other and the tragedy once again. Very sad Read the book
@docdog333 ive read the book AND ITS A FREAKIN SC FI BOOK ABOUT AN ALIEN FROM ANOTHER UNIVERSE i mean a spider in the movie was bad enough but an alien and the reason everyone prefers the book cause the kids have sex i dont get why people hate this film just cause it doesent show 11 year olds havin sex which was kinda perverted of stephen king to put about kids anyway i dont see whats better about the book but im 13 i might understand the book more when im an adult
It was a good made for TV movie, but I thought the ending underground was LAME! Kinda spoiled it for me. Curry's Pennywise is one of the creepiest clowns ever!
wow 6th st looks so different now the paint shop on his right burned down the other week and most of the builingsare gone on the left side in the final shot looking up 6th st., New West has sure changed
@Eternal23xP I dont know what clowns touched you when you were a kid, but i've sure as hell never been to a party where the clowns were touching the kids o.o
If anyone ever needs proof that Books are better than films, then read the flippin book, cause it scared the hell out of me and the film just made me sleepy. What utter shit.
@AntoniaMontesanti i dont know what you mean about the movie sucking. the end part here where he puts her on the bike and stuff, shit i almost started fucking crying over it lol
@AntoniaMontesanti Book kept me reading because of the stories and the ending. The movie scared the hell out of me and I turned the channel. Either way I like them both :D. Book is better imo though :D.
King isn't good at depicting gay sex, though. He always makes it awkward/lame or evil or both, as in the Tommyknockers and The Stand. I think I read IT completely. I remember the line from one of his short stories or The Stand where he had a gay character think about a young man's butt as being "nearly as pretty as a girl's", which is a stupid thought if coming from a gay character. A gay guy would think a girl's is less attractive, not more, because it's a different shape.
it was scary when i was little and watched it...but i found the ending very very stupid where they had all this trouble trying to kill it..then they just punched its heart out. overall very good though
Thanks for posting this. I liked that you posted the whole ending. This was a good movie-of friendship and banding together to fight evil. Scary, sad and also very heartwarming, especially the ending.
this suked so much, if i was in one of those cars at the end i would have gone and punch them in the face, probably not her but id cut his pony tail off...jus sayin
The story is done and over with, unless some jerk producer manages to get the rights to IT out from under Stephen King's nose (it's happened before- Stephen King loathes "The Lawnmower Man," a movie VERY loosely based upon one of his short stories).
IT itself, however, is far from dead. Just weakened. IT's shown to still exist in the Stephen King book, "Dreamcatcher," although none of the characters involved know the whole picture of what "Pennywise" is.
This clown was my nightmare at the childhood ,I always pissed my pants at night when I hears sound from the toilett .

it was scary when i was little and watched it...but i found the ending very very stupid where they had all this trouble trying to kill it..then they just punched its heart out. overall very good though

Thanks for posting this. I liked that you posted the whole ending. This was a good movie-of friendship and banding together to fight evil. Scary, sad and also very heartwarming, especially the ending.

Book had a similar ending... but it meant so much more... I nearly teared up when he revived his wife with Silver.
It was just such a wonderful book... such a shitty movie.
