@bonkatonka Granted that yes the Dogs don't deserve to be piled on top of each other, there are some cases where they have to be destroyed. It sucks but it is a reality of the situation is that some dogs can not be put into loving homes or have injuries that needs for them to be put down.
@bonkatonka They need to ban the manufacturing of compressed Carbon Monoxide (CO) gas. It has NO known use to medicine or industry. And as well ban the use of ANY gas that is considered poisonous for the purpose of euthanasia. I think Versed or Sodium Pentothal is much more humane in that the animal does NOT suffer. At least they can do that.

I did community service at the SPCA once many years ago. It was a horribly run-down place in South Dallas. This one day, I was cleaning out cages in the "Last Stop" room where all the rabid, diseased dogs & cats go before they are put to sleep.
There was a giant hole at the bottom of this wall & I could see into the next room, where this vet was playing James Taylor's song, "I' seen fire & I seen rain..." She was giving them shots to put them to sleep & them placing them in the freezer. CREEPY

I had to take my dog to the vet to be put to sleep. she had a very bad heart and couldnt breath. I tried everything I could. but nothing worked. then she started having seizures! more and more often. Finnaly I said how can I be her friend if I continue to let her suffer this way!? it really really hurts! because it feels like I murdered my dearest friend. 8 years is a long time! and now I feel all alone. did I do the right thing?
MrRaydioray: Of course you did the right thing. It may not seem so right at first and you may want her to stick around more but, having her suffer would have been the worst thing to give her. She's happier now and not suffering anymore. You should be proud of what you did, to have the courage to help your friend out. It'll heal soon, just think of it lightly and keep reminding yourself she IS in a better place.

It happens more on the internet because people think they can get away with being and doing something they normally wouldn't. It's sad but there's still some good people out there. :)

= I am sure you were with your dog when it was put to sleep and in this case you wanted to end suffering that you knew would not get better again,it must have been very painful for you!
