Had two of these in a ported box ( had to expand the holes to get them to fit) powered by a 3000 watt X1 ch/1ohm Highphonics amp. We used "0" guage power wire (one of the things TOO MANY people forget to do when wiring an amp is to beef up the "chassis ground [ ask your mechanic], all the amp/sub/wiring in the world means nothing unless you replace this little wire with on equivelant to your power wire), with an inline AGM 1000amp power cell &3F cap. !$#.2 dB. Couldn't kill them. For the money?

@Bizgate09 actually, its all about setup and amp and box. ive compaired these to other systems, and personally i think they bang hard for the buck. Ive put mine up against 2 15's and mine still hit harder and sound better. So.. lol its all about your setup.

Hey how my ported prefab box doesn't hit like these guys do? I have a old Rockford fosgate punc HE I put it in a ported box that I got for free from a friend and it barely got any bass and sounded like junk. So I got one of my more stronger amps and thought maybe I needed more power and no I did nothing but almost blow my sub! Forget these shit ported boxes!

Anyone who bashes on Volfenhag is most likely upset that they paid many hundreds of dollars more for other namebrand subwoofers etc. because the volfenhag equip. can perform almost as close or better than many other set ups for a lot less of the cost. I am not saying Volfenhag is great but it is not to bad.

Meanwhile others defend their classy brands because they paid $5,000 for a setup that does not much more if anything more than a complete volfenhag set up for around $500 to $800 dollars
