This is so fun to watch! hahah... man. We don't have good karting around Los Angeles. Best I know of within a couple hours is an indoor electric karting place; it's decent, but so expensive... $23 per 10 minute race!

For the time I get on track, it's cheaper to take my car to WSIR. :\

350 NT dollars for first time drivers and they will give you a small square sticker, that will give you a 50NT dollar discount everytime you present it. There are 55km/h karts and I think 75.  450m half track course and 750 full track course.

just a small tip..... Try to grab the wheel always in the same way, don`t change that position before each corner.

Like all your movies there`s a reason why. Simple, If you handle the wheel always in the same position (most drivers simetric) the way your senses get info will be much more accurate and therefor your brain response ;)

Only thing that can help you is throtle, and you must learn to use it... :)

You have to use the ideal-line. And brake before the swing, not half-way throug it. And if you want to overtake, see if you can go in the swing, inwards from them. Always overtake inwards. And the let the tire scream so much. :)

It looks like you lean your body in the conors. Don't do that, it doesn't make your driving better and to lean in the conors is one of the first beginners faults.

Well I just have the advice from a professional racingdriver who sometimes drives a kart. I guess that professional drivers have more muscles so that they don't get hurt. They have to be very fit to race. Maybe you aren't :) But either way, the most important thing is that you have fun :)

I don't see how it would make much difference either way. By leaning you're changing the weight distribution - taking weight off the outside tyres and adding it on the inside. So you'll get more grip on the inside and less grip on the outside, proportional to the amount of weight change. Since you added the same amount of weight on the inside that you took away on the outside, over the four tyres you have the same amount of weight. So you still have the same amount of grip.

But not if you skid.

As you reach the limit of traction the outside tyres will lose traction sooner than they would have if weight distribution had been even. If the outside tyres let go, the inside tyres will too, and now you're in a full skid.

So if you're leaning, you're gonna skid sooner than if you weren't. So according to physics, it does make a difference! Ahh, progress.

All I'm finding is stuff saying to lean outwards. Apparently it helps get the inside rear off the ground so the axle isn't binding (bcos the cart has no differential).

BTW I've noticed you don't use the whole track... especially in that double right turn after the starting grid nxt time keep the kart as wide as possible before entering the first corner and then close the second turn, you'll see you will use less steering keeping it more straight and have more power and you'll be setting the next left turn better :) cool vid I like it!

Every single time I put up a karting video someone tells me to use the whole lane. What if the lane were a mile wide? Would you still tell me to go the full mile to the left for a right hand turn? You see my point? You don't always need to use the whole track for the quickest corner.
