  • For anyone interested, I finished this program today - final weigh & measure in the morning. 23 total inches gone in 90 days - Thats without the diet plan and a few workouts missed. It's the first program I've completed in it's entirety and I couldn't be more in love with it. Starting the ChaLEAN/TurboFire hybrid next week! No, I'm not a spokesperson. Just a girl determined to get in the best shape of her life. I would recommend this to anyone!!

  • Hi, Try the intellectus 424 diet (Google for it). Me and my wife lost a lot of weight best result ever.

  • As a Woman, p90x got me bulked....Chalean literally sticks to it's name. It got me leaner and tighter. I don't look like a body builder anymore....

    Also something very important is that Chalene always workout the legs with heavy weights. Therefore, the hip muscles expand and the back muscles narrow down giving women the natural hourglass figure they need to look feminine. I love love love this workout! Highly recommend it for women who cant invest too much time but need challenge and result.

  • @kaminoneh Generally, women needn't ever worry about gaining huge muscles as you have 1/10th the testosterone as men.

  • @povlump Both can do it of course. With the class type atmosphere that Chalean uses, women seem to gravitate to her. Go to any gym (no don't, LOL!) and you'll always see more women in an aerobics type class.

  • Can anyone with this DVD tell me if it includes a lot of jumping? I only ask because I live in a Private House and the owners live below me. I don't want to disturb them. Thank you. I'm so tempted to buy this.

  • @LCBpink I've only used 3 of the videos so far and there was minimal jumping in them.

  • @LCBpink There are two (and only TWO) workouts you will do that include jumping, and you can modify them so as to not jump. That's what I do. Most of the program is nothing but workout out with weights. The schedule works like this:

    Mon - Weights

    Tues - Rest

    Wed - Weights

    Thurs - Cardio (Jumping, but optional)

    Fri - Weights

    Sat - Cardio (Jumping, but optional) + Stretching

    And you follow that pattern throughout the entire 90 days.

  • I was wondering if this is a good program for people who are sort of de-conditioned (I've been out of it for a while because of school, but I don't wanna use school as an excuse anymore)? I'm 5'4" and weigh 130 pounds. Cardio hasen't been doing it for me and I wanna be leaner.

  • Where do you people get that you need more equipment with P90x, I have the door band instead of a pull up bar, you need weights in both of them. And women don't bulk up as we dont have testosterone like men. We lean out and tone up. The difference between P90x and ChaLean extreme is time of workouts, varieties, and so much more.

  • Guys P90X, ChaLean Extreme & Insanity are completely different!

    P90X & ChaLean Extreme is strength training

    &

    Insanity is complete Cardio....Huge difference

  • @ajcurran94 The prgrams only work if YOU put all your effort into it. Don't expect to see great results if you half-ass it or don't eat the proper foods. I've done Hip Hop Abs, Turbo Jam, and Billy Blanks Taebo video (all in phys ed class, but I still saw results) and at the end of one disc of each program I'd be dripping in sweat. Just push yourself to the max and you should do fine. Hope that helps.

  • @ajcurran94 the thing with p90x is you have to buy a lot of equipment if you are gonna do it everyday then its worth it but with insanity you dont need equipment but both are good. i have never done this workout so im not sure about it :)

  • I have both P90X and Chalean Extreme. I like Chalean Extreme better because it's only 5 days/week workout, whereas P90X is 6 days/week. Also P90X didn't lean me out as much or as fast as Chalean Extreme. Maybe because I didn't do the P90X Lean phase. I did the P90X Classic phase. Regardless, P90X requires having a pull-up bar (band optional). Another bad thing about P90X is that out of the 6 day a week workout, only 5 days workout lasted 1 1/2 hour. Whereas Chalean is 44 minutes max.

  • Okay so i ordered this today off ebay.for the record,i DO think p90x would give u better results cuz by the look of it its pretty hardcore, my plan is to do this for 90 days & watch my diet and stuff like i always do,but if i still want to be more toned , im going to get p90x, because if i do chaLEAN extreme first p90x shouldnt be as hard for me as it would have if i did it first. do you guys think its a good plan? plus i dont have much to loose, i only want to loose 20 pounds

  • The success stories you're referring to are nothing extraordinary; a more structured weight training and HIIT cardio program would have provided better results in 3 months. The person doing the proper program would also continue to see results. The muscle gains you see (CoachJoshS) are from people incorporating heavy iron lifting into their workout.

  • Cardio burns more. Muscle burns fat and sugar, but only fat AFTER the workout. Cardio burns constantly, before, during and AFTER the workout! I want more, so I do some vigorous cardio and intense weight lifting! If you only do this exercise you'll find yourself still huffing and puffing up them stairs!

  • @TheAtomicDon I just checked out ThinkBig's channel. He's posting all Beachbody infomercials. LOL He's definitely a coach trying to sell this crap.

  • @p90x4lifewaswrong more like trying to spread the word. It's not the job of beachbody coach to "sell" somthing. They are there to motivate and support you. IF he's in the seller mode, then he's NOT being a good coach.

  • Sorry, but I love the programs from Beachbody-- especially the Turbo Jam workouts that are also from Chalene. I lost 60 lbs doing that one. I hope to get this one eventually. And a pound of muscle uses up more calories then a pound of fat. NO ONE can say that having some muscle and muscle tone is not beneficial to your overall health and ability to burn fat.

  • Anyone claiming lifting weights burns fat does not know what they're talking about! Weighlifting burns sugar and it is a myth from the year 1980 that muscle make you a "fat burning machine" all day. This was debunked years ago.Once again, the lack of knowledge displayed by Beachbody's trainers is very evident.

  • Lifting will help people lose weight faster than cardio. It has been proven that after a weight lifting session, your body's metabolism continues to stay high for up to 4 hours after your workout.

  • @ThinkBig221 That metabolism boost is not as significant as once thought. Weight loss is about creating a consistent calorie deficit. Cardio WILL cause weight loss if you take in fewer calories. Weight training is great for bones and muscles..but not for calorie burn. I assume you're a Beachbody coach trying to sell this fad to people? This infomercial is VERY misleading.

  • You're crazy, everyone loves p90x, there are tons of videos on here from people who have had great success with it. It is like having a personal trainer right in your home. It is very hard to find anything negative online about P90x, which is very rare for any product. People love to go online and bash stuff but you can't find that anywhere online. You entitled to your opinion though, even if it is wrong :)

  • LOL. Your sales pitch might fool other innocent minds,...but not mine. I've been around lifting way too long. Nobody is bashing P90X you moron. It's not a bad program if you are just looking to get into shape, but if you're looking to maximize your performance you need to go past your living room. Try that and you'll be a better athlete. And stop being a slave to Beachbody.

  • I love this program and so does my 200 lb husband who has seen better results then a lot ppl in a gym! He was weight lifting in our weight room and this is kicking his muscles up a great deal!

  • @p90x4lifewaswrong muscle requires more calories at a resting state then fat does, which requires next to none. straight from my physiology textbook.... and hey, with what i have seen doing the workout myself, it obviously works. You burn calories, not necessarily fat, but the idea is still the same. The more muscle you have the faster your metabolism is. period

  • I finished this 90 day program in December. It is an INCREDIBLE Workout and muscle truly does burn fat BETTER! The first 60 days I felt changes but but those last 30 days WOW!! I was eating all the time with so much energy.. the before/after side by side blew me away. These inches have been really stubborn and they were gone in 90 days.

    Prior to CLX I was just trying to lose weight with a little cardio and counting calories, a program like this made a HUGE difference!

  • I was a gym person in Indonesia before I moved to America. When I moved, I lost my habit go to the gym everyday. Believe it or not, I lost my muscle and gained my weight like jet coaster in carnival. First, I tried Turbo Jam....I hook up. Then I watched this ad, and yes....I got my muscle again...Thanks so much Chalene

  • I don't think so. With more muscle you burn calories even when you aren't working out. They go hand in hand. You can lose all the weight you want but you could be all flabby by the time you are done with just cardio.

  • The advantage to ChaLEAN Extreme is lifting slow and heavy. This is much better than using lighter weights and then using momentum to lift them. This is a really fun program!

  • Female workout programs aren't bullshit, that wasn't what I was implying. Where the bullshit lies is in beachbody...they simply take P90X, remove Tony Horton, and add Chalean, then call it a band new program. Coming from an avid bodybuilder, who doesn't discriminate, I was merely pointing out the marketing bullshit behind this system, thats all.

    i have both chalean extreme and p90x and one is not ripping off the other. they're two vastly different programmes

    perhaps you shut it until you've actually seen the workouts...and let women make their own weight-lifting decisions

  • Im on ChaLEAN Extreme and its not a walk in the park.....it's a very good program..I'm actually impressed by it.
