This is it: that someone at a dealership, in a clandestine manner, put this mixture in the engine of a BRAND NEW car--and wait until someone goes to retrieve it. Now wouldn't that be something! Imagine the expense involved in destroying the engine of a BRAND NEW car--perhaps a new Honda Accord. They would have to be careful about security cameras and fingerprints mostly.

This is an Obama payoff for the AIU. This program doesn't care about "the enviornment" or regular folks in the middle class or lower. I have a HUGE old Clunker Town Car 4 sale at $3,500. That'd make you 1G profit. ANYONE INTRESTED?
Thank you for not clunkering the TC...as stupid as it sounds, I think that even though it is a great deal for someone with a dying vehicle (like my 85 Bronco II was), most of the cars I've seen being destroyed have been very nice and usable. It's throwing out the baby with the bathwater, and we won't know if it helps or hinders until long after it's done - which thankfully won't be too long, watching these things die is sad!

Facts on Cash for Clunkers:
1. 8 of top 10 vehicles sold at dealerships are from foreign owned manufactures - Honda, Toyota, Hyundai.
2. There is only 42% part content in these top 10 made in the US or Canada.
3. Of the 42% many parts are made by Foreign owned manufactures.
This means profits go to Korea, Japan, and China (because that is where Japan and Korea buy sub-components). Our hard tax dollars at work!
