Maybe - maybe not! If you look inside your DD-3 and see the same big chip on the curcuit board that the DD-2 has inside, your DD-3 is technically identical to the predecessor. If you don't have the big chip version, it still has all the same features, but the sound will be different. It has been discussed over and over in the Bossarea forum, just look those threads up! The DD-2 is sound-wise the most-loved DIGITAL delay pedal by BOSS. btw: The DSD-2 and 3 has the same chip.
Excactly! The "Stereo Output" does actually only send out the original signal that comes into the DD-2. Therefore it is no real ping-pong delay or a real stereo effect. Nonetheless it sounds very cool if you use it!
