It is very sad to walk the Ukrainian countryside and see the empty villages. to see the unemployment and poverty that has plagued the country since billionaires bought up industry after the Soviet Union's breakup and moved people's lives back into the 19th century farming methods. to see the cities filled with people homeless and looking for work because collective farming been destroyed. this was not how i expected to feel when i went to Ukraine.
