  • Breathtaking...

  • I think the audio to this clip is actually from a later 04-03-71 performance found on the Youtube vid: "Elton John - Biography part 3/4"

The audio matches the 4/3/71 performance better, so I'm guessing they spliced the Troubador video (which probably had no audio) with the 1971 audio.

    Thoughts?

Its difficult to be certain, but to my ear, the improvization at 24 seconds of this clip seems different from that heard in "Elton John- Biography 3/4" 2mins 41. I guess to be sure, one would need to line up both audio tracks on Cubase or equivalent. Its very difficult because this audio on this clip sounds clean comparative to the audio in "Elton John- Biography 3/4 @ 2 mins 41 secs. Maybe if one played around with an equalizer, to reduce the rhythym section, U could tell!

  • Incredible...knows the piano is a percussion instrument. Wow...would love to find the rest of this video. Leon Russell was in the audience, with Neil Diamond.

  • The 11-17-70 live album has this version of Sixty Years On, with better sound quality (especially the 1992 release).

But then a small quantity of quality can be liberating.

  • It's a tragedy that a better quality video from this concert isn't available... but still good to see this little bit again. Thanks!
