The only problem with this design is ,the drive belt will loosen up when the shocks bottom out or just slightly move up and down ,I know because I configured the near same rear end using an 80s model golf cart rear end on my pilot frame.The motor has to almost be mounted right on the pivoting swing arm so to speak, so the motor and rear axel are one unit .The only other way is to use a motor with chain drive and extend the frame so the front and rear sprockets arent over one another.
That's the suspension i want!!! looks like it could really soak up the bumps on a rough trail, have you built one yet? i'm building one now, frame only, nice job!!
I have something similar almost done with a 400 Polaris in it.(i will post pics) The problem I see with this design is that the driven clutch is in front of the engine,not sure if it will "pull" the axle.
If its worth doing, it's worth over-doing, right?

It will just slame into the frame.

Make the rear axles longer. Then put the brakes on the axles. If you break a chain you lost your brakes.
