i recently saw a vid from a very nice pastor that looked at strict adherence to the biblical texts as a form of idolatry, similar to jesus saying that the law serves man: man does not serve the law.
Groupthink is akin to low developmental stages in developmental psychology. It is about the level of a pre-teenage child who'se thinking is barely concerete operational. That is to say, I agree with you and the makre of this video. My 2 rubine coated cents to y'all.
bleh I can't stand it when people say "The Word" in reference to the bible... the Word is everywhere, Sound is the Word and Sound/Vibration is all around us.. everything.. the bible is just a dusty old book.. there are plenty of great old books like that in Hermetic Alchemy, Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism tradition.. they all speak the same Wisdom.. and yet modern christians will swear up and down that all of these asiatic sects are "going to hell"...just to add my rant to yours.. :D

very good points regarding institutions that foster groupthink while claiming to be open.
sad thing is that that can happen in casual settings too, like here on yt.

ok. well he didn't mention groupthink but the term came to mind.
i think it loosely applies in this case of institutions creating an identity that may close off other ideas, Mabu.
