Like video - like reality. The bastard Virgin electrical train takes agonising time even to start properly before its stop-start-stop-start-stall-indefinate delay. I tried Virgin trains from Kensington Olympia in October-November, 2003, and probably, also, February, 2006. Maybe my experience is dated and old hat by now. Maybe, passengers can access broadband Internet from behind each seat these days, for all I know. But, if so, Branson would be charging through the nose for that.
From what i know its for budget reasons and theres barely anyone using this service south of reading. They will stop the Manchester Picadilly to Brighton and Back when the Winter 2009 timetable is in full swing.

They are doing a Birmingham NS to Brighton service when the new timetable is released.

Agreed, i was told that one coach was dead and the other had to work harder hence the loud departure.
