re:coded looks kinda fun, mostly you get these crappy games like "chain of memories" when you have to use cards to attack, but this! you can use the fighting style everyone loves! it had that KH1 feel to it for me, when you choose a power to gain and to lose, that was pretty cool. let's face it, this is better than chain of memories.

I've seen other walkthroughs at this part. For some reason, during the explanation for the Matrix part of the game, the chip slots can't be seen in other walkthroughs. It's weird.

Also at the end there is a secret ending that reveals the start of Dream Drop Distance! Mickey and Yen Sid discuss stuff about Aqua, Ventus, and Terra's location, and the destruction of Xehanort's Nobody and Heartless will result into the return of Master Xehanort! To prepare, Yen Sid calls in the real Sora and Riku for them to be examined for the Mark of Mastery. It is suppose to be a test of something for Keyblade weilders and stuff.

Kingdom Hearts coded and Re:coded is about when Namine send a message to Mickey and them

to explain to the actual Sora to save the people close to his heart. But the thing is... its coded the message is. Mickey then makes a Data Sora and Data Riku to decode the message from the inside. The message sends them from all the worlds from Kingdom Hearts to Kingdom Hearts 2. At the end Data Namine explains all of this to Mickey and also Sora has to fight Roxas in his Awakening State.

@singgirl15 Because data and the real sora are exactly the same of how they were in kh1: ignorant of what a keyblade is. In kh1, the real sora originally awakened the power of the keyblade on destiny islands and was told of what a keyblade is by leon and yuffie in traverse town. Since they were both ignorant on what a keyblade was when they first reached the station of awakening, when king mickey told the data sora to "use your powers" and the keyblade was awakened within him, he was confused.

I think it's cool that it all connects like that and that they are keeping a consistency in the series by putting in things here and there from other games. The guy who replaced Wayne Allwine is OK, I guess, but he's still no Wayne Allwine. Jiminy's new voice actor sucks, though. You know, I think at Disney World the the Mickey Mouse mascot suits have some sort of computer system that allows the actor (or possibly someone sitting in a booth from afar) to speak in a replica of Allwine's Mickey voice. I don't understand why they didn't just use CG technology here for the KH games as well.

I really like Hikari/Simple and Clean. You know why? Because when you hear the theme, the first thing you think about is the opening of the first Kingdom Hearts. When notions like Xehanort, Terra, Roxas, Nobodies didn't exist. And now, the series has become much more complex and engrossing, yet this song has stayed the same throughout (e.g. for CoM, BBS and Coded). This contrast helps to highlight how far the series has progressed. I hope they keep Hikari/Simple and Clean for KH 3D.

Ok, I'm rly behind. A few years ago I had beat Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2. Then chain of memories and 358/7 days (or whatever its called) comes out. I got both but didn't get far cuz of the release of the Xbox360 (i fail) then this re coded thing comes out and Birth by Sleep. I don't quite know what happens after freaking KH2! Someones please fill me in and help me to understand whats going on, cuz I'm lost in this great story.

@shleepingdawg It's really not that bad...it's based on the dialogue animation from "The World Ends with You." I think it works really well. It's not about SE's budget, it's about the fact that this game was meant to be a port of coded, but instead they decided to completely remake it. Just be grateful that we got a US release of Re:coded in the first place.

@shleepingdawg This game was originally a mobile phone game. What they did was re-code everything to make it a fit DS title. I guess they changed some things and they left some things the way they were. Look up Kingdom Hearts Coded, Kingdom Hearts Recoded is the same game but with cutscenes, DS controls, etc.

@SFGK Not really anything, to be honest. It takes place immediately after KHII, and doesn't even involve the actual Sora. However there's a secret ending which I think (can't remember) at the time hinted Dream Drop Distance or something.

But yeah, story-wise, nothing. You can give it a miss and still understand the overall plot.
