  • OHIO must depressed freaking state around ! go figure

  • the mccain campaign has gotten so low that even some of these spineless fox-hacks seem to refuse to suck up to it

  • A "downturn in manufacturing?" Talking about a downturn in manufacturing in America is about as honest as speaking of the Iraq War death toll as a decrease in the population of Iraq.

  • I like in the beginning when Jindal tries so hard to dodge questions.

  • Chris Wallace is starting to grow on me.

  • I was actually impressed with how he stuck to the question about McCain's voting record when the advisor tried to dodge it.

I was impressed with Wallace's interviewing skills here... and that creeps me out haha.

  • Bobby Jindal believes he has cured cancer by exorcising daemons. That's how pathetic the Republican party is, one of their "rising stars" has the same grip on reality as a 12 year old who thinks they have a unicorn as a friend.

  • Boeheoeoeoehoeoeooe mc war/mc old/mc can't/mc same/mc insane!!!!

    OBAMA '08

  • I appreciate you doing this. for those of us who don't have tv, it's a great resource for tapping in to the overall zeitgeist... albeit in little soundbites.

  • This is the lot of people McCain has stumping for him.

That should tell us all something.

  • I think Ohio is neon blue now.

8,000 jobs? Ouch. Heckuva job Rick Davis!

  • America will certainly become a true becon of light if McCain wins.

...because of all the nuclear warheads going off here when he starts something with Russia.

  • lol

    Good one.

  • Well said.

  • I'd love it if McCain chooses Jindal, we can ask him to explain his fascination with exorcisms.

  • Agreed. The Veraficier vid had some great quotes from him. What a nutcase.

  • Jindal is a funny guy - isnt he the guy that wrote about fighting ghost while in college - wired religion cult. How in the hell did he get elected in LA - New Orleans, LD has some serious problems - What a goofy idiot!

  • i hope that ohio is listening

  • Americans are led by the nose by their media. Wake the F up people!

  • who thinks Jindal may be McCain's running mate?

  • that lady at the end talking about how the american state of hawaii looks unamerican is absolutely f***ing retarded.

  • We never planned to become the world's superpower just so we could be the world police. Our economic growth and military power just happened.

  • One of my conservative friends said we have to get involved with this Georgia-Russia dispute because of "international prestige." Lol.

WHAT international prestige?? We have none left! We've used it all up with all this policing the world nonsense. The world sees us as a meddlesome bully who doesn't understand compromise.

Do people really think us solving the Georgia-Russia conflict is gonna raise our "prestige" by much, if any?

  • What exactly did Obama say that was "soo bad" about the Georgia situation? Did he actaully say "It's none of our business. Let them duke it out" like I hope? Of course, I'm probably expecting too much of Obama, who'd probably send our troops to Darfur as soon as he got out of Iraq, the interventionist. Both McCain and Obama are interventionists. Obama just seems like a "good" interventionist. Ron Paul had it right all along on foreign policy.

  • I could care less if Georgia and Russia duke it out. It's none of our business. If the UN wants to send voluntary peacekeepers, let em. But I don't want any president of the US involuntarily committing troops who joined to defend America into the Georgia crap.

Georgia nor Russia attacked us. We have no business interfering (at least not directly). The world has to learn to stop relying on America for defense, like the DMZ or treaties with Japan, Taiwan, etc. etc. Bases around the world.

  • Just to let you know, we had a noticeable military presence in georgia, not that long ago, in an effort to train them to protect the large oil pipe line that delivers a good amount of crude to the ports along the black sea. We might still have some military presence there, I'm not sure. At any rate, the pipe line is why it's of concern to us.

  • Obama girl diss video (click above)

    Sxephil diss video (click above)

    AtheneWins diss video(click above) Lol!

  • Hmmm....I never cease to be surprised by politics. Chris Wallace is now only a 95% dick instead of 100%. Cokie Roberts seems to feel Obama visiting his Grandma in the state he grew up in is somehow "elitist" ( I think I know where that 5% went)

Presdent Obama (get used to it)

    -Enjoy the day-

  • "I don't need someone coming to me crying telling me things are bad, I know things are bad"

    - Mike Gravel

  • Not related to this, but the culture in general.

Its so depressing one must turn to the internet or the BBC or ANY other country's news to find out what is really going on in our country. It's all kindergarden deception. It's treason.

Republicans, "Look! We have Bobby Jindal! brown person... but not too brown. He's going to be vice president! Experience, experience, experience." Sometimes when i watch tv i wonder if the movie Signs is my life and i'm being tortured by the news.

  • Im amazed that a Fox news anchor is asking tough questions to a republican! WoW

  • VERICIFIER PRESENTS

    someone else's work.

  • christianlonelyheart.

    forumotion.

    net on yahoo

look for friends in all the right places

  • Davud Broder is such a tool!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow, this rick davis character is something else.. carl rove looks like an amateur in comparison

  • let McCain keep talking as much as possible. He can't keep track of what he says from day to day. Give him enough rope. He'll do the rest.

  • she was just sayin that it wasnt a smart campain move he should be in a state hes not almost garenteed to win and shes right after how much the republican party hasnt done for us obama should have easily have a lead at this point obama as much of a celebrity as he is can pull away from McCain and thats because U.S. citizens dont want another celeb they want a president

  • Sorry US, there's just too many racists, idiots and vested interests in your country for you to have a black president. Segregation is still a fact in many US communities. The press is lazy and allows lobbyists to write their stories. The Hawaii vacation touted as being unAmerican should have been laughed off the air instead of being taken with wide eyed seriousness. The population wants to believe the lies of Karl Rove and his cronies. Big business wants McCain. Sorry, America, you're f@cked.

  • Cokie Roberts is nuts.

  • If they disclose ETs hidden technologies we would never have energy problems anymore.

  • mccain wants to challenge obama to a debate?? ya.

  • Since Obama is a much better orator than McCain, the only way he could loose is if his positions were just a bunch of hot air. So maybe the fact that Obama isn't willing to debate should telling us something?

  • Rick Davis is one slick bitch

  • I never thought I say this, but here goes... Chris Wallace asked some good questions! The "Liberal Media" should take notice. Thats probably the toughest interview I've seen on a McCain supporter thus far.

  • Myrtle! Obama grew up there? Never knew that, learn something new every gaffe

  • Cool One...Right On...

  • The only thing worse than a politician is a lobbyist. :oP

  • right on!

  • WTF? lol...Murtle Beach is somehow more American than Hawaii? Dayum that lady sounds stupid...and racist.

  • Hawaii is no less American than Myrtle Beach; it is, however perceived as being more exotic. In America today, the sad truth is that perception often trumps reality.

Those who live by the sword often die by the sword.

  • All Politicans are liars and thiefs. They will tell you what ever you want to hear to get the money out of your pokets.

  • Then why the hell would you even click on the link to this video...jackass? Go watch a nickleback video or something.

  • "He should be at Myrtle beach" Yeah away from all those island people with funny eyes.

  • "He should be in Myrtle Beach"

I can not beleive that b*tch said that.

Is the GOP really this desperate. MY GOD!

Why the hell does he have to be in Myrtle Beach to vacation? He been going non-stop since the primaries. He deserves one and it shouldnt matter in the least where he vacations.

  • Just because Roberts is fair, doesn't mean she's a Republican. This my be a hard fact for many to grasp, but there are honest Democrats.

  • Fair? How in the world can you interpret that as "fair". There is no fairnes or unfairness about that statement. Its just plain ridiculous.

I find it very petty and almost immature to critisize someone on something as trivial as where they choose to vacation.

Dont you? Shouldnt we be focusing on more pressing issues?

If this fool is a member of the dem. party she should be ashamed of herself. All she is doing painting a false portrayl of Obama as some kind of elitist.

  • Cokie isn't being paid to be an Obama apologist (although, by listening to most in tje media, you would think so); she's being paid to be a commentator.

She doesn't say that there's anything wrong with the trip except how it will likely be perceived. Likewise, implying that Obama will be perceived and an elitist isn't the same as calling him one. Since in politics perception is often more important that reality, her comments are both very fair and very relevant.

  • The mere fact that she brought his vaction up and implied that it was bad decision is going to draw more attention to it.

    She should know that.

The right wing media is going to have a fricken field day as it is. She doesnt need to fuel the fire.

She would have done Obama and the democratic party justice by just keeping her mouth shut about it.

  • If Obama can't handle criticism of his actions, then he has no business running for president. As it is, the media has mostly been treating him with kid gloves. Even Hillery complained about this.

It a commentators job to commentate about both candidates on what they've done right and what they've done wrong. Her employer is ABC, not Obama; she was doing her job, and doing it well.

So tell me, do you criticize George Will when he criticizes McCain? If not, you're being disingenuous.

  • No one in history has ever has had more unwarranted untrue criticism than Barack Obama. How many candidate have to face being called Hitler, the Devil, a racist, a Muslim (when your religion is Christian and at the same time criticize you for what your Christian pastor says) and my personal favorite, the Anti-Christ? As for the commentator, she is just plain clueless. He is returning to his home state to be with his grandmother, but of course everything Obama does is criticized.

  • Preach!! Oh and you forgot how elitist he is for being all smart and stuff, or elist for being to thin...we could go on...

  • You obviously haven't been following politics for very long.

Most of the criticism you cite hasn't come from reliable sources and has justifiably not been given any credence. Some of it came from Clinton's camp.

Some of the criticism which is justified the media has mostly ignored. Obama long term relationship and expressed closeness with Write should have made it an important issue.

As far as Obama's reason for going to Hawaii, Roberts did cite it.

  • Putting the Rev Wright issue, "sweetie gate", bitter gate, Overseas trip gate, The Rev Fleger issue, Rezko, "57 states gate", faux race card playing on 24 hour negative news cycle is treating Obama with kid gloves?! WTF?! Oh and let not forget how gentaly the media treated his wife over one sentence. mean while CBS edits out mcCain gaffes, or most MSM never covers it. mccain defaulted on his property taxes this year and the msm reports nothing. The don't ask him the specifics on any of his plans

  • Who said Obama was incapable of handling criticism? He made it through the primaries and hell make it through the general election.

This woman is well within her rights to critisize Obama BUT she should not be critisizing him on something as inconsequential and trivial as where he chooses to spend his time off.

He grew up in Hawaii, his grandmaother lives there and hasnt seen him for over a year.

Why should he have to neglect his familiy and friends to appease right wing America?

  • Again, the criticism was how the trip would be perceived a this time, not whether or not it's justifiable. Try listening to what her words actually are before commenting.

As far as "to appease right wing America" goes, that's not where his problems are. His problems are with independents and moderates on both sides.

  • Again, since you are incapable of understanding what Im trying to tell you, his trip was justifiable and instead of concentrating on how something so trivial will be precieved (by republicans) she should have tried justifying it or just leaving the subject alone.

The reps. have already gone to town on the issue. Why doesnt she try defending him? She is a democrat, right?

  • She never said that his trip wasn't justifiable, merely a bad idea tactically. Again, politic is often more about perception than reality.

As for why she didn't defend him, it was because she was doing her job as a political commentator. It is NOT her job to be an Obama shill.

  • I can tell youre another disgruntled Hillary supporter. You can go on being angry but please dont take that anger out on innocent bystanders. The point Im trying to make is that Im sick and tired of the media blowing irrelavent things WAY out of proportion.I would speak out on behalf any candidate that was being treated unfairly by the media, McCain included.

Im sure YOU were screaming bloody murder when it was believed that Hillary was being treated unfairly.

  • Me? A Hillary supporter??? ROFL!

I've been on the political right since Nixon (although I was much too young to vote back then). And while I do think Hillary was treated unfairly by most of the media, it was sympathy I was feeling, not anger. Sympathy because she was being treated by the MSM like most Republicans get treated. What irritates me (again, not anger) is that much of the MSM doesn't seem to know the difference between news and editorial. Roberts here is a commentator, not a reporter.

  • Its obvious you know nothing about American politics and the RIGHT WING media. Right wing meida are the ones that are issuing blatantly false atack ads and making unfounded accusations. It IS one of his major problems right now amongst others. These republican lies and falsifications are taking a toll on Obama in the polls.

And BTW, I did listen to her words. In fact, I watched the entire segment. You should try no to make assumptions. You just end up making an ass of yourself.

  • A very small percentage of the MSM is right wing, but what you're describing is the finge, which is anything but main stream.

As for my assumptions, I was trying to give you the benefit of the doubt since your portrayal for Roberts' statement is incongruous to the facts.

  • That was a hateful statement Roberts made, hateful.....therefore, she has lost all my respect.

  • Hillary clinton would have gotten more of the edwards delegates in the early going, especially on super tuesday in february, than obama. It's amazing how one lie can completely change history. Think about it.

  • tyred: You might be right, but you also might be wrong. The gop was just itching to take on hillary. She doesn't bother me, but the depth and breadth of "Clinton-hate" is amazing. Republicans cannot even stand the sound of Hillary's voice, much less her policies. Apart from that, Obama will make a much better president than either Hillary or McCain.

  • When I first heard that edwards admitted his affair one of the first things I thought was how different the primaries would have been. There wouldn't even be any discussion of obama right now. Edwards was the "spoiler", him splitting the vote is what really cost hillary clinton the nomination. If edwards had told the truth prior to iowa we would have most definitely had our 1st woman president. McCain would have had a much harder against hillary than he will against obama.

  • I didn't hear the lobbyist answer a single question.

  • "I know Hawaii is a state"

  • I pray to god that the people of small town america suffer the most if McCain becomes the next president. Those idiots will never learn to stop voting against their interests. They treat these political camps like gangs. If their parents were republicans then they feel that even though republican policies may harm them they still most continue to vote for that party. It makes absolutly no fucking sense! McCain seems as though he may be even WORST than Bush yet here they are ready to elect him.

  • You are so right,UGOTDAJACK !

In the same vein, people who are born into a certain religion, view the world in the way they were brought up.

Unfortunately for those of us who are free thinkers, the majority of people in the world are followers.

I'm not a religious person, but I do believe the meek will inherit the earth.Simply because the conservative religious nuts will destroy themselves.

  • So Broder is saying it's Obama's fault that McCain is doing attack ads? Give me a freakin break!

  • A negative campaign defeats a positive campaign every time. This is shaping up to be 2004 all over again.

The Democrats need to grow some balls and rip this guy's throat open. George W McCain is dumber and lazier than Bush. He came in 894th in a class of 899. McCain is STUPID, and we have learned what happens when we put a lazy moron in the White House.

  • check out obamas newest ad on dailykos, its sharply negative

  • wow fox is actually supporting a actually view that doesn't support the conservative view

  • wow that mexican in the beginning is such an idiot - he spends 20 seconds saying McCain goes negative and spends the rest of the time being negative about McCain lol

  • Cokie Roberts need to get another job because she is terrible at this one. Obama grew up in Hawaii, held a rally, and is having a fundraiser there.

  • I saw This Week, Bill Richardson & Jindal were on. Bill Richardson gave one of the worst interviews I have ever saw in my life. The guy sitting in for the regular host said "Good morning Gov. Richardson." Instead of telling the guy good morning Bill goes on to say "well I think McCain is running a negative campaign." The guy didn't even ask him a question. I hope Hillary accepts a surrogate role for Barack really soon. He needs to get Clinton and Kaine out there for him, they're good.

  • Who in their right mind would vote for senile, old McBush!?

  • Sadly, millions of our fellow Americans!

  • thats what im saying are people fucking crazy a 75 year old man running thats lets like letting a 75 year old man teach

  • I just can't stand these people who are young and inexperienced and good looking and are propped up as legitimate by their own party because they are supposedly rock starts.

    I.e. Bobby Jindal.

  • Sounds more like you're describing Senator Obama than Governor Jindal.

  • So it's Obama's fault that McCain decided to go negative, according to whore hack Broder.

He and Cokehead Roberts are the epitome of Washington's pseudo-moderate twist-anything-to-help-the-GOP media whores.

he should be in Myrtle Beach? Because that's a southern red state with "real" Americans, cokie?

  • Davis has a hair piece.

  • Wow, does anybody believe that lobbyist? Seriously, does anybody believe that this top McCain advisor has the best interst of the country and of middle class Americans at heart?

  • Cokie Roberts doesn't think that visiting Hawaii and your Grandmother is a proper American vacation.

god save us all from the moronic majority. the idiots ahve indeed taken over.

  • Thank you Veracifier.

Jindal, former exorcist w/ subnormal intelligence. Rick Davis, lying douchebag puppet. Cookie Roberts, foolish beast. Still, they are taken seriously!

  • Oh hell yeah, these fuck puppets are just a sack of recycled shit being sold as gold. I just hope that America has gotten past it's fear of intelligence. I wonder if this is an echo from the times when Homo Sapiens took down the Neanderthals? Most likely the males were killed and the women taken as sex slaves. The evidence for this is Talk Radio hosts and Fox news commentators.

  • LOL that's awesome dude!

  • pluto: lol, a sociobiological explanation. awesome, dude.

  • Experience is a great thing, if you can actually remember it! McCain is too old and starting to lose it!

  • Rick Davis is a liar!

  • can't stand this guy.

  • I miss Terry from Hillary's camp. He was entertaining as hell! LOL!

  • McCain is a fucking puppet. He's the one who went Negative, now he's blaming Obama for it? Is he fucking serious? Of course Obama knows he can go on Vacation, because he knows the polls are bullshit. Those polls are just for the media to sell a show. Obama is an astute politician, he's anything but stupid.

  • Conventional wisdom is that debates favor the trailing candidate, but I don't think that's going to hold true this time. I think the debates are going to be hard on McCain. If his town hall meetings are any indication, he's not good on the spot.

If I was Obama, I would catch McCain now, while he really wants debates, & get him to commit to a ton of them. This will make BHO look good - democratic & fair - & be hard for McCain to refuse. Then club him like a seal from now till the election.

  • Nah, it's better for Obama to wait until closer to the election after McCain has made several stupid statements, and gone negative. I think Obama wants him to go negative so he can hammer him in the debates later. Having debates doesn't really help, I mean Obama and Hillary had how many? Twenty-something? Nah, he just needs to keep campaigning.

  • I've seen a lot of footage of McCain from these town hall meetings he's holding, and I think you're giving him way too much credit. Having the pair of them side by side is going to let people know that McCain simply does not have an adequate grasp of the facts. Unless they hook McCain up to a wire like they did Bush, there's no way he comes out of the debates looking like anything but an old man losing his grip.

Clinton was more BHO's equal, but McCain will be a deer in the headlights.

  • I agree with you, but I think it's something that needs to be closer to the election, that way there is less time for the McCain to do damage control, and learn from his mistakes from previous debates. It doesn't matter who wins the most debates just who wins the one closest to election day.

  • Jindal wants to legislate Christian creationism in all public school science classes. His further outlandish comments on Obama being like Russia exemplifies just how poor his judgment.

  • We should not get involved in Moscow or Georgian or even Ossetian politics. That's their issue, not ours.

  • Bush already has, America and Israel have been training up the Georgian army. Then Georgia goes and tries to ethnically cleanse an Ossetian city with heavy artillery. This will not look good for Bush or McCain once the dust settles.

  • It will not look good for America--that is the most important thing.

  • Rick Davis is former Lobbyist, now he is a spinster for John McCain.

This man is a proffestional shit talker.

Don't belive him or anything anybody in powers has to say.

They're all bought and sold to corprate intrest. They've sold the american people out for greed and personal power.

  • keep up the good work

  • i guess even people from India when they come over here stupid takes over. Stupid seems to have conquered Bobby Jindal. Hey Bobby, how's it going with that stupid thing you go goin' on now. McCain has years and years of "stupid" happening. I know all those repulicans went to "Camp know it all mind control" when they were little children. An that's why they are republicanazis now.
