I love that Mark Lamarr has to play this sullen, sulky version of himself, because I enjoy watching him try like hell not to crack up. It's best when he fails.
I was surprised to see "real" clips in Series 1 - this is something I can't remember from when i saw the series originally. Series 1 Episode 1 is still hilarious, but I did prefer Vic and Bob's spoof clips from the later series. Their Jimmy Savile Top of the Pops spoof and their Fawlty Towers spoof are hilarious and they are just two of their classic spoof clips!
dont wanna take anythin away from her but the glass is a often used BBC prop, theres a solid mass in the glass takin up most of the space so theres not even half a pint in there, they did it all the time on red dwarf
@snakepliskin3011 Chance in a Million from the late 70's and early 80's was the first time I'd seen it used. They pull a good one on her with a supposed pint of Bitter which is actually molases. She gets a molases moustache and Mark Lamar says' "She never look before she puts it in her mouth does she!" Classic!
