  • Nice video about Gdansk, you've got nice editing skills!! We've been there in november and it's a really nice town to visit. We've shot our intro in Gdansk and an episode as well, you should check it out if you want

  • Preety? It's One of the most beautiful in Europe.Greetings

  • THE projektant of the city was dutchman :)it was built when Poland was ruling the city. Finally came back to its mother.

  • Beautiful :) I love Gdańsk :)

  • Please guys stop politics under my video!!!!! There are other sites for that purpose, thank you!

  • I love katarzyna pacewicz

  • @markzen582 Population of Danzig in 1939 was 97% German. Have you never head of Bund der Vertriebenen?

  • @stevedn1 It doesn't mean a thing. People were coerced to declare themselves Polish during German occupation and in 1930's. Same year an infamous Stutthof concentration camp was set in Gdansk suburbs where some sixty thousand Polish patriots from Gdansk are were murdered. Hundreds of thousands of Poles were deported from Gdansk region inFall of 1939.

  • People predominantly talked Low-German there from 1235 to 1945. The architecture is mostly Dutch and some German.

  • Is that why you can't write a proper sentence?

  • 1938dmkdz

we were here in 2006 and loved the people, at

last they seemed happy and proud

  • you are all romans you idiots urra to EUROPA the enchanted

  • Is amber inexpensive ? ( yes, I am shallow)

  • of course;-)

but really... it varies... from few euros to even hundreds or thousands ;-)

  • My fathers birth certificate says Free state of Danzig 1929. It was not governed by Poland nor Germany, it was its own state with its own government. Get it right people !

  • Comment removed

  • @Tatt2dmoon It was free state for 40 years but under auspicion of Poland(Poland was responisble for internetional relations) and defended by Polish army.Get it it right if wanna get it right:))

  • poland!!!!!

  • Until 1945-46 this was the German city of Danzig. For hundreds of years it was known as the Hansestadt Danzig. In 1939, it had a 97% German population and all the businesses and streets had German names. That which is claimed as Polish is not Polish. The Poles falsely claim this as a purely Polish city because centuries ago it was part of a Polish Commonwealth of many different languages and peoples.

  • @stevedn1 It was founded by Polish king.Throughout the history it was Polish for over 750 years and Gernan/Prussian altogether for 350.See the numbers?Learn histoty instead of reapeting your Nazi grandfather propaganda.good day

  • The expulsion of almost half a million Germans from this German city was a crime by the Yalta war criminals.

  • This was a purely Polish Medial city , however, the innocent native Polish population was slaughtered by the German Teutonic Knights Order, which payed their price later on. Now today it once again within Poland. Truth always wins!

  • you perhaps ment those old baltic prussians by calling native polish population.Remember polish dukes invited teutons to help them to conquer and christianize Baltic prussians and lithuanians.

  • No these were Poles, and they wanted to remain in the Polish kingdom. By the way, the Teutons betrayed us.

  • thanks god in 1945 german occupation finished

  • Szczególnie wkurza ów brak dostępu do morza. W końcu to miasto leży nad morzem, ale jedyny dostępny dla turysty pas nadmorski to plaża. A gdzie dzielnice portowo-handlowo-usługowe? Na całym świecie stanowią serce miast portowych, a tu? Zardzewiałe bramy i cieć. Ale dość! Future looks bright!

  • Gdańsk jest piękny nocą... :)

  • Taaa, w rzeczy samej.

Polecam xD

  • Oczywiście, że lepiej. Gdańsk to historia i ewentualnie przyszłość. O teraźniejszości nie ma co wspominać, bo to żadna sztuka kopać leżącego. Jest to prowincjonalny gniot, który został 10-15 lat z tyłu za większością dużych miast w Polsce. Dzierży rekordy w osobliwych dziedzinach: BRAK CENTRUM, BRAK DOSTĘPU DO MORZA, KOMUNIKACJA MIEJSKA NA POZIOMIE LAT 80-ych, NAJPODLEJSZE CIASTKA W POLSCE(Ostatnio zmienił to niejaki M.Sowa)itd.

Pozdrawiam.

  • I just love Poland..I was there as a kid...(long time ago now..)

  • Piękne miasto, przepiękna starówka.
