Well...the reason that happens is because for most basic tricks, there's almost no risk, unless you're too stupid to land on your feet. But I can understand a helmet on rails with good sized falls on the side, or any vert session. but if you're just manualing and 180/360 on a flatland, then no need for a helmet...
