Very interesting,yes it does look like stronger undercarriage would improve things,plus that suggestion by another commenter that forward scoops would help push the loads out better.I dont think it would affect the flight performance much.

you might want to try small scoops facing toward the direction of flight instead of static holes. The pressure differential will be much greater and your parachute will deploy more easily in level flight

also your chute needs more ballast weight

Since you have 4 engines ... have you tried the DBE (down between engines) engine configuration like on the Airbus A400M? Basically, the props on each wing are counter rotating in a way that pushes the air downward between the props. It supposedly gives more lift and allows for shorter takeoff runs.

I'm planning to try some LAPEs drops with my cargo plane too, my idea was to have two parachutes, one very small one that is always hanging out the back and in the wind and one big one. Then when you open the door the little chute pulls out the big chute which opens and pulls out the cargo.

hey all you have to do i make a funnel like a hood scoop on the side or you plane to make air want to go in the holes

you should but a cheap camcorder for $20 and put a parachute like the one from batman on it.

If you live near a pawn shop buy one of their probably stolen camcorders . or get the cheap one in my super cub video

We maneuver cargo containers around in airliner belly pits with no prob because they're on rollers...maybe you need something like that in the bomb-bay? -a mat of soda straw "rollers" on kabob sticks, maybe? Or, just a slick surfaced, (not foam), false bottom with a little incline? If u have a channel to spare, maybe a ram rod rigged to a servo to give the cargo a shove out the door. You'll figure it out, I'm sure.
