  • great video. can't wait 2 get one for my t3

  • Wait, I thought Canon did not give lens hoods out with their regular lenses? How come you got one?

  • @StevenRHaz You're right they don't do that. I bought the lens hood separated.

  • is this new? why is it dusty already? lol

  • @ipwnyorass It's definitely new, I had to try it out before I made this video and also put on the filter. And i would actually say that the sort of plastic that is dusty in the movie seems to absorb the dust a little.

  • The autofocus looks VEEEERY slow at 250mm. o_O

But I'm buying this anyway, I'm not pretend to use it on action so that won't be a problem...

  • whil this work in a 18-55 lens ?

  • @KaosDesignsHD The lenshood fits the 18-55mm lens. But when you're at 18mm you will see black corners in your pictures, maybe when you've zoomed up to over 40mm> it works good. But there is a special lens hood just for the 18-55mm lens which can be bought in almost every camerastore.

  • I have the T2i with the same 55-250 lens but i can't find the hood :(

  • @jjse2450 Oh well...I bought the lens hood at the same time as I bought the 55-250mm lens. But I promise that you can find it on a webshop like amazon.

  • is it bad to set the camera down with the lens hood all the time?

  • @asianman5 just a little, because it takes some seconds to do it....

  • @asianman5 i do that all the time! XD

  • What's the setting of your cam? Image looks PERFECT! :O

  • When he got the lens out the box it had a UV filter on it... Haha. Does anyone know if you can put the lens hood on backwards? Useful for storage

  • @YesItsMartin Yes, you can put the lens hood backwards.

  • Would this fit the 18-55MM lens for the Canon 1000d :)?

  • @DjRyanBeeden yes!

  • @DjRyanBeeden you'll need the canon EW-60c lens hood

  • Would you recommend this lens?

  • @Appleaddict22 Yes, the lens is good for it's price. The picture quality is good too if you're not picky

  • @kimkom4 is this better then the standerd lens 18mm that comes with t2i or is the only quality the zoom

  • @devonyea100 I would say that this lens is pretty the same as the 18-55 except the zoom.

  • @Appleaddict22 Pretty light lens, build quality is what you pay for. Good zoom lens on budget. photos taken during the day are excellent but make sure you are mounting this lens if you know that you are going to be at a distant of your subject, but the downside if this lens is that when you want to get a whole lot of action in one frame with out stepping back you are only limited to 55mm.I would recommend saving up and getting Canon EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Its a prefect upgrade from the kit

  • @danamezjohn 18-200 is nothing compared to 55-250 except the useful wide range of 18-55. Just look up their score at photozone.de.

  • @0rigami1 that's only on one sites opinion, Look at peoples reviews on Amazon or any others.... I was saying that the 18-200mm lens is a excellent walk around travel zoom lens despite the negative reviews it does take good photos and its a good upgrade from a kit lens. Just saying the 18-200 is a lens that you would hardly take off your camera unless you want to shoot with a prime lens... or upgrade to a L lens.

  • @danamezjohn 18-200 got a very poor optical performance, it would not be a problem if it weren't a very expensive lens or if you are still using a 6/8Mp DSLR.

  • I already bought it!!! $196 with UV filter and ET-60 Lens Hood..

  • @keyslot24 Hey please let me know where you made that sweet deal... and did it have IS ?

  • @D0SI Here in Thailand.. better to pay cash coz they will give you another discount..

  • @keyslot24 Very cheap. Where did U get this lens?

  • @vomitronic Here in Thailand..

  • planning to buy this lense in a few weeks.. Hope I will like it!!!

  • this is a second unboxing of your lens right??

it's already with the UV filter on it in this unboxing :)

  • how much?

  • @rekay18 $230-$300

  • I bought this lens and it has noise when half pressing the shot button, is it normal or I just got a defective one?

  • will the et-60 fit on the kit 18-55mm?

  • @Devdog1618 it does fit on the 18-55mm kit lens but on 18 mm you see the lens hood ..

  • @Devdog1618 you'll need the canon EW-60c

  • nice video kim!

  • I have had one for about 6 months. It's good, not great. I would have saved my money. I am now selling it to get a 70-200 F2/8 or F/4. This baby WILL get good images it well lit conditions. All the best to you. Check out my camera stuff on my channel. Have a good day!

  • Very good Review
