Strength gives you the confidence to not get into a habit of overexertion on the swing. Swinging too hard is counter productive for the contact necessary to drive the ball. Strength ensures that your contact swing is also a (relatively) hard swing. He also used a short, dense maple bat and crowded the plate...an outside pitch was "down the middle".

Strength gives you the confidence to not get into a habit of overexertion on the swing. Swinging too hard is counter productive for the contact necessary to drive the ball. Strength ensures that your contact swing is also a (relatively) hard swing. He also used a short, dense maple bat and crowded the plate...an outside pitch was "down the middle".

It should have been Ken Griffey Jr. who has this record... he played the game CLEANLY unlike Bonds did... he took so much out of baseball... he, Sosa, McGwire, Clemens, etc. all used to be admired, but now they are pure asterisks and stains of the great game I love. Shame on them!

bonds was a great player before he took steroids but he needed them to break any home run records. he was a 165 pound leadoff hitter in pittsburg and he gained 70 pounds of muscle throughout his career. if he didnt touch roids he would be in the HOF

@TheAllBaseball So did Mark Mcguire, Jason Giambi, Alex Rodrigues and Roger Clemens. Get the picture? i could go on and on and on for days. Baseball and the white medial love to use Berry Bonds as a scapegoat because he broke good old mighty white boy Babe Ruth's record while Clemens and Mcguire get a fucking pass? Talk about hypocrisy and WHITE PRIVILEGE.

@kanguesso I dont know why your getting mad. I never said mgwire didnt use steroids. Im just watching a barry bonds video so why not say something. Its not like I praise white guys that take steroids. Anybody who took steroids usaully deosnt deserve everything they did in baseball.

I just get sick to my stomach when i listen, read or watch people throwing Bonds under the bus for something that 98% of baseball players are guilty of doing. BASEBALL USED STEROIDS. I know you're just referring to Bonds because you're watching a video of his. But, if you watch a video of Mcwhitey Mcguire, The comments you'd see directed at him are far, far less offensive or insulting to say the least. That's where Hypocrisy comes in.
