This song definitely hits home. I myself have been to Iraq twice and Qatar once for deployments. On top of this now that I am out do to disability my gf is now preparing to go to Afghanistan. I wish more than anything I could take her place so she doesn't have to see what war is like. Missing home day after day, seeing the trauma, always being on edge.....all I can do is pray she will be ok.

I was looking for an offical music video to this song. My husband was in the army. He was killed in Iraq 3 years ago. I listen to this song the other day and just broke down. I can't believe something can hit sooo close to home. This is probably the saddest song I've ever heard but I can't stop listening to it. civillians understand supporting the troops is not about not sending them overseas, and taking them out of their job that they are trained and committed to do. Supporting troops is standing behind their choice to do their job, they are dedicated to being there and providing those freedoms. Theres warfare that many cant grasp or comprehend. It is painful to have one gone as for the soldier to be gone, support the sacrifice of troops and families with compassion and honor, and gratitude. God bless

I'm a serving marine with 45 commando of the royal marines commandos and although nothing we do will ever be enough to persuade the bastards to stop this war. but i really love your video. to behonest ive never been bothered by the war. i joined up back in 2000 to go and fight. all this stuff isnt bad to me. im one of those nutters with nothing waiting for me at home. but the one thing that stuck was a young US soldier singing 'hey there delila' and a day later he was killed

I have been to Iraq twice, and i am fixing to get shipped out to Afganistan in a month. I have seen war and its ugly up close and personal. If you do not think that we are not in war.. If you cant do that what can you say 20 years from now? You need to take a step back and underatand what us soldiers go through to make sure you are safe. so you can go to work and gripe about your coworkers, walk in our shoes, see if yur outlook on life changes any.

@grits645able War or not They are out there risking their lives to make sure the rest of us are safe. They are away from their homes for months even years, that's not easy. Some get sent pictures of their children wondering if they'll ever get to watch them grow up. It not being a war has nothing to do with the fact that they risk their lives everyday.
