I also bought this ,on 7" vinyl ,when it first came out . I remember it was around April 1982,as I was listening to it the day ,ships sailed from Portsmouth ,to Falkland Islands.
It's a great song. I had it on a complilation tape the NME gave away in the 80s. I love that line "I'm going to break up on contact with your atmosphere".The sax player in the duo is I believe Gary Barnacle, a noted and very fine session player
@rossmiddleton1 Still have the 12" of this bad boy. Loved it then, love it now. Shimmering keyboard sounds, bass line, vocals, production. Must confess I never figured out what the heck you were singing about-but all thats inconsequential. Great song. Loved "A Way you'll Never Be" also especially the funky bass. Great stuff ! Thank you :+D
Met Ross at Nick Cave gig in Paris couple of years ago, he's fine. Gave up music for teaching English Lit. Don't know how Berlin death rumour started but it was really him. He looked just the same. Very polite took me and girlfriend for meal and helped us find cheap hotel. Nice guy.
Is that really Ross Middleton posting on Leisure Process sites? I ask because I was a fan and I met a girl called Renate in Berlin who said she was his girlfriend and she thought he died of an overdose in London late 80s. Maybe she's full of it and if so, apologies Ross, hope you really are alive. But she seemed pretty sure. If it is you Ross, can you maybe post some more and let your fans know? You've been quiet a hell of a long time for a live guy!

This was another Martin Rushent production ... everything he touched in the early 80s sounded great!
