@spamuel44 He has a warwick corvette, and a full warwick stack with an 8x10 cab. Warwicks are known for their growl.

@spamuel44 Thank you. The gear im using really helps achieve the sound. The Warwick fortress one is a unique bass that has a great sound with the attack on the strings. I set the EQ so it works well with my technique, (i hit the strings quite hard). I go for the slap sound with my finger plucking. The Warwick pro tube and 6x10 is a great combo for a metal/ hard rock sound.

Do you know where to get the sheet music for this song or know the correct parts? I've been trying to find out how to play that slap part for an hour! If you know what the correct part is or how to find it I would love some intel. I can't find any stores around hollywood that sell the LD50 book. Yeah the slap part is really fucking hard, when i was having bass lessons my teacher had already self learned it cuz he's a god so he taught me it and wrote it all down, butttt i cant find my folder of written sheet music from lessons so i dont have it anymore, just listen really carefully for the pops and just slap/mute inbetween like a usual slap song would.

i know the first slap.pop is on the 7 on the F# string and 9 on the E string. then moves down to the 5 and 7 i think.

@anguskahn22 Nope, the slap part is completelly diffirent than its done here. Actually, the first 3 bars are easier using more dead notes and the 4th bar is way harder. Yeah the angles in that vid are real annoying and he moves around so much, and his bass obviously has the best mix in the world and sounds like a person groaning half the time, theres so many subtleties and crazy shit he's doing i cant keep up with. Personally, I think that it makes them much more interesting and shows more musical talent to be able to have some creative license, rather than playing robotically. Did you consider that perhaps the tabs for Dig were written by someone FROM this video? Highly likely, considering that this video appears at the top of any Mudvayne/Dig related search.
