  • Really great performance and an excellent sounding FENDER. Of course, behind the guitar ia a REAL STRINGMASTER! Hey Basil, what tunings you 're using concret? I saw different variations from E13th & B11. Since a few days I own a white blonde 1955 FENDER TRIPLE NECK STRINGMASTER with 3 push buttons. I'm a beginner and my question is what tunings should I use and what string gauges. The guitar has 29frets(24,5"?). I' m sure you can help me a little bit. Thanks for this great clip. Good luck!

  • Baz, do you have a chromatic string on your E13? You've stumped me!

  • "Mayaadobe" Thanks for asking, The main melody is played in the E13th tuning with the middle section played in the B11th, Peavey Nash-vile 112 and a "Tribotone "BH" Bar

  • @basilhenriques

  • Thanks Nigel, maybe someday you'll post a clip of yourself playing that LDG !! We all know how smart you are on the "Box" (Foster told me)

  • Funny I had that notion the other day! To my eternal discredit, the ShoBud hsn't been out for almost a year! I couldn't really play it then and I certainly won't be able to do it now but I'd love to practise and have a wee video on here! Thanks again! Watch this space! (Even if it is only "Mansion on the Hill"! ha ha!)

  • Bas, you're a very favorite of mine. Great player, always great tone and such clean and tasteful execution.

    Regards from Chihuahua, Mexico.

  • I'm playin' San Antonio Rose at my next show, and it'll be a version on pedal steel guitar. It sounds great on that Fender Stringmaster too.

  • What a lovely tone and so well played, great stuff

Was the show professionally recorded as it looks like it.

  • Hi Mr. Henriques. Can you do me a favour please - can you drop me an e-mail and let me know when you're next at Shepwell? Many thanks. PS - like this version of San Antonio Rose - Hawaiin style eh! :-)

  • Less of the Mr. bit eh ? Baz will do..Shepwell, dunno, but Prince of Wales Cannock Sunday 5th October, Saddlers Club Saturday 22 November are on.
