Had the Lakers been able to close out the series in any one of the three remaining games, this would've been by far the biggest upset in NBA history and the Nuggets' series win over the Sonics the following year would've been less impressive. Of course, history had other plans.
How embarrassing would it have been had the team with the best record in the NBA. Be eliminated by an eight seed with a losing record in the quarterfinals.
It's so amazing just how quickly the momentum can change. The Phoenix Suns are normally used to being up by a lot of points entering into the 4th quarter playing at home. For some reason the pressure has a much more psychological effect on teams in the playoffs compared to the regular season.
ginoongkamote seriously if I, could certainly dunk, then anyone can, I'm simply 5ft 7inches seriously! Just simply don't be lazy and follow a training program like the one I'm following | 50 inch vertical [dot] com |, it will improve your leaping ability and your first step in basketball.
@RandomVillain ... his knee, actually, a severely sprained left MCL. He injured it when he and Barkley embraced (as seen in the video) and banged knees. Due to the fluke injury, K.J. missed the final two games of the regular season and the playoff opener against the Lakers. He returned ahead of schedule for Game Two (at less than full health), but that injury helps explain why Phoenix fell into the 0-2 hole versus L.A.
And while watching this video, all I could think of was John Paxton hitting that 3-pointer. If only those Suns fans knew the heartache they would have come June '93.
LAKERS HAD THIS SERIES RAPPED AROUND THEIR HANDS.

Main thing I remember from that buzzer beater against Portland was KJ injuring his ankle in the celebration haha.
