I remember my first time trying wine. I sampled some red wine at Olive Garden, and it tasted horrible, that and it had a rather strong odor to it. I'm of course, not an expert on wine, but eventually, I want to try some different things as I get get older. This wine however, tasted horribly strong, and I'm assuming that it was the alcohol in it or there was something wrong with it, like it might not have been chilled properly. What would you recommend for me?
well red wine can be served up to 19 or 20 degrees Centigrade for a full bodied red. order a white wine, like the Riesling. they'll bring it to you cold.

I totally disagree.
Especially when it comes to red wine!
As a beginner you don't want an elegant, light wine, you want to be impressed by the variety of flavour instead of being bored...
