The Qur'an encourages dhikr.There are no evidence on restriction on ways of dhikr.The Prophet (pbuh) also encourages dhikr which also includes dhikr until the munafiqun say to the dhakir that he is insane.There is no ijma' of the scholars on the restriction.So there should be tolerance.Even Ibn Taimiyyah recognises sufism and some of its terms such as sama',kashf,and saqr although he misunderstood the views of ibn arabi. This is sunni islam but is a spiritaul practice through a physical means. It is a method to cleanse ones heart and engrave upon it La illa ha ilala Muhammadur rasollAallah (There is no God but Allah and Muhammad is His Messsenger).
It is suppourted by the hadith/sunnah and Quran. Look for instance at chapter and veres 5:35. It says, "Seek a means unto your Lord." The worshippers above do no less.
this is followed by the sunni, i am an example. This is just to remember and love allah. THere are many people who call themselves sufis that worship graves, that is not allowed. What theyre doing here is chanting praises of the Prophet of Islam just so they can love him more. The physical reactions you are seeing are natural and genuine and come from our limbs calling onto Allah.

This is an act of worship. Quran does not say anywhere man can not worship Allah any way they want. In Salat is obligatory to follow the messenger of Allah. But there is nothing written in regard to Dhikr that limits its variation. Allah says to say it standing, sitting and on your sides. The Traweel prayer was made By Omar and not messenger of Allah and was clear Bid'ah hence 90 percent of muslims do it.
The name of Al-Hay (living) is the name of Allah Jallu Jallalah. Repetition of it t results in enlivening of the Person's heart (awakening). And entering of the baseerah (inner observation) and Hikma (Wisdom).
Doing it in Gathering(congregation) creates more energy field, similar to when you just come out of Jum'ah prayers (congregation). However the inner experience is much more stronger here.
The presence of an awaken one is like inflaming the fire with kerosene.

Prophet David and his son Soloman in Surah Sad made mistakes. David judged wrongly among to men and repented to Allah. Solomon was busy admiring his horse till prayer time went over. Allah took his kingdom away for a short time and Soloman repented to Allah and got it all back.

For 786786aqib: Prophets didnt make mistakes? Adam was the first to disobey Allah and eat from the forbidden tree and he repented to Allah.
Dhun Nun [Yunus] went away in anger and thought that We would never have power over him, but in darkness he cried, "Lord, You are the Only God whom I glorify. I have certainly done wrong to myself (so forgive me)" (21:87). We answered his prayer and saved him from his grief. Thus We save the faithful ones (21:88).

Allah said in Quran the Christians and Jews took there monks and Rabbi´s as Lords over Allah by following them in things that they made lawfull and unlawful acccording to their own desires without being ordered by Allah. I dont want to argue with Sufi´s. As a Muslim our job is to enjoin good and forbid evil. Is the word Sufi in the Quran? Did Prophet Muhammad SAW call himself a Sufi? Allah Says many times in the Quran that it, the Quran, is a guidence to many, but it is also a misguidence to some. It will only misguide a people with corruption in their hearts. Where in the Quran or Hadith´s THAT ARE AUTHENTIC, can you find the Prophet is of noor or light? That comes from a fabricated hadith that the Prophet SAW was made of noor! The Prophets were all human beings who did not make Kabira sins or big sins. None of them were perfect! Read Surah 80,Surah Abasa, He frowned, when Allah corrected Muhammad SAW. Only Allah is Perfect. The Quran says many many times Muhammad SAW was only a man! Open your eyes and read Quran, stop believing Sufi Sheiks!

Yes he was given gifts of ilm and some knoledge of the unseen and he was the best example for all Muslims to follow. It still does not mean he didnt make any mistake or he was infalable. Also it doesnt mean he should be worshiped or called upon in prayer or dua cause he is dead, and the dead cannot answer prayers or dua, only Allah can do that. Have great respect for Muhammad SAW but if it goes overboard it can become Shirk. History and the other religions are full of this example, be carefull!

The Qur'an encourages dhikr.There are no evidence on restriction on ways of dhikr.The Prophet (pbuh) also encourages dhikr which also includes dhikr until the munafiqun say to the dhakir that he is insane.There is no ijma' of the scholars on the restriction.So there should be tolerance.Even Ibn Taimiyyah recognises sufism and some of its terms such as sama',kashf,and saqr although he misunderstood the views of ibn arabi. So dear people, please read in detail:).

This is sunni islam but is a spiritaul practice through a physical means. It is a method to cleanse ones heart and engrave upon it La illa ha ilala Muhammadur rasollAallah (There is no God but Allah and Muhammad is His Messsenger).
It is suppourted by the hadith/sunnah and Quran. Look for instance at chapter and veres 5:35. It says, "Seek a means unto your Lord." The worshippers above do no less.

What theyre doing here is chanting praises of the Prophet of Islam just so they can love him more. The physical reactions you are seeing are natural and genuine and come from our limbs calling onto Allah.

The best spirituality you can get from allah , is worshipping him not his awaliyah . Shias go to the mosque to cry while sufis go to the mosque to sing and dance . Ya allah help this ummah !

This is an act of worship. Quran does not say anywhere man can not worship Allah any way they want. In Salat is obligatory to follow the messenger of Allah. But there is nothing written in regard to Dhikr that limits its variation. Allah says to say it standing, sitting and on your sides. The Traweel prayer was made By Omar and not messenger of Allah and was clear Bid'ah hence 90 percent of muslims do it.

The name of Al-Hay (living) is the name of Allah Jallu Jallalah. Repetition of it t results in enlivening of the Person's heart (awakening). And entering of the baseerah (inner observation) and Hikma (Wisdom).
Doing it in Gathering(congregation) creates more energy field, similar to when you just come out of Jum'ah prayers (congregation). However the inner experience is much more stronger here.
The presence of an awaken one is like inflaming the fire with kerosene.

This is Oegtfidien. They are kissing the old man hand out of respect. They consider him and enligten man. An enlighten sheikh is one you are not hidden from him. Allah makes them aware of Zama'er of people (their intention and shortcomings). Once you experience such person you understand. They are those who walk with the light of Allah among people. Not the Store front scholars. Although some scholars are also have inner enlightenment.

I love how people on here just want to judge... make everything and anything haraam. These people are doing zikr and speaking beautifully of our Prophet. Sufis are very peaceful people. i really dont understand this. it doesnt seem like they have bad intentions. they actually sound peaceful, but i realy would like to kno if this is an acceptable way of praise towards God. im having mixed feelings. and i guess the kissing of ther "sheikh" is permissible because i kno islam teaches us to respect and love our teacherz and treat thm with the utmost respect. if somone could please clarify this for me it would be greatly appreciated.

PS to salafi's: MR Abdulsasalafi you shouldn't do or say things just because your sheikh said so and who does'nt have a madhab or in anyway linkt to sheikh as a chain back to the propheet (saw). Your sheikh said it is bida and like monkey sees monkey does you say the same thing, you should know that the holy quran wasn't in a book when the prophet (SAW) was alive so that would be innovaction to your belief.
so please don't say things you don't have knowlegde about.

Islam has no problem with other cultures or people and was a light wherever it went. Salafis and later their offshoots, wahabis have cause trouble for Muslims and non-Muslims alike. They are despised in Afghanistan, kicked out of Europe and dwindling in S. Arabia. The only Muslims out there killing other Musilms are you guys. Stop worrying about dancing of all things.

To the Salafis: please study the methodology you apply to the interpretation of our religion: it is false and secular. Just as you did on this thread, you selectively pick one hadith without any training in Usool and then condemn other Muslims. Fear God and have some humility.
