Beeraddd, This is a Holden commodore ute. I work for the company that made them. We can argue all day about what makes a car classified as a ute/pickup/truck but we cant change the fact that Holden made the first ute, and the car in this vid is a ute
holden was the 1st to call a utility vehicle, pickup truck or sports rv a 'ute'. thats all they did. they didn't design a new concept of vehicleby any means. kudos to holden for branding!!!!
PLEASE GO TO YOUR YOUTUBE ACCOUNT, AND CHANGE YOUR COUNTRY BECAUSE YOUR NOT A FUCKIN AUSSIE MATE.
NO AUSSIES ARE AS RETARDED AS YOU.
if you were Australian, you would have learned something... that a UTE is not a pickup, and it never could be because its cab/tray/chassis are all ONE FUCKING PEICE.
nah man i drive a proton jumbuck 'ute'. makes me feel all warm and fuzzy to know im driving a vehicle that is an aussie concept. gonna buy me some rum pig stickers and some aviation spotties. oi sweet!
you drive a korean car thats was designed in china? lol mate, lol.
2nd, no idiot would put a set of mudflaps, a bullbar or any 'rum' stickers on any proton, only on a ute or a tray back 4wd, not some micro shitbox with 10in wheels.
last up, bout the 1930's ute comment, i said MOST, maybe make that MOST MODERN examples, but earlier ones still had a cab and the tray as ONE PEICE, that is the most important element in defining a 'UTE'.
don't knock 10 inch wheels. me hq tray back truck has 10 inch on rear '28x10'. how dare the koreans take a 10 year old mrbishi design and turn it into a ute! oops! sorry! its not made in oz so its a utility. my mistake! someone should punch korea for trying to be aussie. they'll be making hills hoists next!
hey a question to all the ute experts! is a commodore tray back called a ute? is a rodeo style side a ute? ther is a lot of contradiction in everyones arguments here. dont tell me they are called 'tonners'. cos i know they are marketed as utes. which is the abreviation for utility vehicles. its like saying the french invented the pen because people call them biro's. c'mon aussies dont be so narrow minded. anyways the ute was invented in sth africa.
who says!! The term 'ute' is an abreviation for utility. so unless its a ford or holden, it cant be a ute according to you? so when i want to go buy a work ute, it can only be a commodore or falcon ute right? otherwise no one will know what im talking about if i want something like a rodeo. i'd have to call it a utility according to you. i'd love to be there when you go to the dealership and try and explain your theories of what a ute is.
@antiwonggalonggalo subaru brumbys or have a once peice cab/tray and are stamped on the id plate subaru pickup but on this video i agree it is a ute lol
im pretty sure there was coolent on the pit from the guy before him, slipped spun and grabed angain (rolling the ute) pretty sure, i guess thats wat hapens when u try loop with slicks :P to grippy haha
he made the mistake of doing a burnout in BIG full race slicks the burnout pit is extremely grippy and a big tyre like that isnt gonna wanna slide sideways without grabbing....
icredible, what happened, did he break a axle, nice show.
funny comment from the awd guy, stick subaru running gear behind that motor and you will just end up with a pile off chunks of metal, i doubt many cars in the world would be running that kind of power through awd or and getting the same times with awd. if awd was really that good it would be under mercedes AMG, bmw "M" and ferrari's, awd is for soccer mums carting the kids in rain & snow.
you cuntz are dumb azz he probly had 2000 wrkw or more so fuck up i dont think he ment do that. it lookd kool az and all you riceburner loverz can suck my great big long thick australian dick lol
its not a pick-up. the cab/tray is not seperate its one peice, so its an Aussie UTE. its a Holden VT commadore ute. your new pontiac GTO's were rebadged coupes of the same model.
ahh dude a ute is a pick up. like a toyota utility be it tray back or style side. you would be correct if you were refering to a truck e.g.F250. also the cab tray is 2 seperate pieces. there would be nothing stoping you from puting a tray on the same chassis. oh and it clearly is not the same generation of commodore as a gto.
.... its a UTE, not a pick up. a 'pick up' has a seperate tray/back and is a not 'ute', a utes tray is part of the body.
and.. the first generation of your GTO's CLEARLY are that same model, the VT -except you have stupid looking grills put on them.. actuly called a monaro over here.. commadores are the 4 door versions. the UTE was invented in Aus 70 years ago....
its a utility pick up. get over the fact only aussie trucks are allowed to be called utes. aust. didnt invent the ute as much as you would like to think so. aust. invented the name 'ute'. model T's had trays on the back. the first aus built 'ute' was the fx. and this vehicle had a 2 piece body. having seperate tray and cab. the el camino is a ute in your terms as it has a one piece cab/tray.
what do you mean i dont know what im talking about? you reckon you can prove me wrong...mate! i do think that it is you sir who does not know what it is that he is talking about. go ahead, drive your kingswood truck " hq one tonne" of the harbour bridge. hope you smash into the operah house at the same time... mate!
alrighty then. so basically aussies call utility vehicles utes. but only if they are made in australia. and only aussies can use the term ute for a vehicle designation, because aussies invented the term ute. aussies are the only ones, and the first lot to put a car body and tray 'has to be styleside though!' together in a single chassis. geez aussies are fantastic. doesnt it make you feel all warm and fuzzy?
why do aussies think they invented the utility vehicle. ute. why does the elcamino not clasify as a 'ute'? what the aussies did invent that is kick ass, is the panel van! that is cool in its own right. but dont lay claim to a vehicle design, just because different overseas markets label there utility vehicles pick up, truck, style side, utility or the 'ute'. doesn't mean the aussies invented the ute. i guess the yanks invented the v8,the semi trailer and the pick up than!
well mate! the car in the footage must be a truck! according to your definition the vehicle needs to have the tray and cab as 1 piece. if you look at this vehicle it has a clear separation between them. how is it any different than a hilux pick up. please tell me. cos you, sir are not making any sense!
it was first thought up by a farmer who lived in my local area in the early 30's,

WHAT?? dude, you dont know what a fucking 'tonner' is. SHUT UP. a '1 tonner' has the carrying capacity of 1 TON.
check this link: fastlane(.)com(.)au/Features/First_ute.htm remove the ( )
this is a UTE, it has a MONOQUE CHASSIS, ITS CAB AND AND PICKUP BED ARE ONE PEICE.
it CANNOT BE A PICKUP. a PICKUP HAS A SEPARATE CAB/CAHSSIS.
a rodeo is a PICKUP UTILITY, NOT A UTE AS SUCH.
UTE, DEFINES A BODY STYLE.
dude, a UTE, and a UTILITY are NOT the same thing.

a TRUCK is NOT a ute, a PICKUP is NOT a ute, a TRAY does NOT make it a UTE.
what defines a 'UTE' is the fact that the WHOLE BODY IS ONE PEICE...
there is NO tray, their is no separate utility/pickup rear end, the whole thing is ONE FUCKING PEICE.
GET IT NOW?? the only fucking 'UTE' america has made was the el-camino's... fucking SHIT cars.
WarHater69 3 years ago
i think you have some issues dude. maybe you should research some numbers for psychiatric help or something. its only a ute.

why do aussies think they invented the utility vehicle. ute. why does the elcamino not clasify as a 'ute'? what the aussies did invent that is kick ass, is the panel van! that is cool in its own right. but dont lay claim to a vehicle design, just because different overseas markets label there utility vehicles pick up, truck, style side, utility or the 'ute'. doesn't mean the aussies invented the ute. i guess the yanks invented the v8,the semi trailer and the pick up than!

ok then dickhead,
go look it up, google 1934 ford coupe utility,
THAT was the FIRST UTE......
like has been said, a UTE, is NOT a pickup, nor is it a truck..
an el camino is pretty much the only american built vehicle you could classify a 'UTE'.
ute's are short for utility, but if u have a toyota tray back utility, its not really a 'UTE'.
as for the car in the vid here, it never came out as a pickup, its a modified ute.
your thingy says u live in aus, but ya to fuckin stupid so u dont.
antiwonggalonggalo 3 years ago
well mate! the car in the footage must be a truck! according to your definition the vehicle needs to have the tray and cab as 1 piece. if you look at this vehicle it has a clear separation between them. how is it any different than a hilux pick up. please tell me. cos you, sir are not making any sense!
beeraddd 3 years ago
if you knew what your on about, you wouldnt bother posting..
a HILUX is a utility pickup, basicly, its a CAB-CHASSIS...
now that holden was a UTE, a UTE DOESNT HAVE A FUCKING CAB.
that left the factory as a UTE.
basicly, if its made of separate parts, iE: CAB, TRAY/BED, CHASSIS...
i think its been pretty fucking well said already.
UTE, is an Aussie term, made to describe a style of car...
antiwonggalonggalo 3 years ago
hey dick wad. what is an el camino then?
