How come every time I see pictures or videos of meth or crack houses there are always tons of random junk? Where does it all come from? I just find it strange. It is really sad that children have to endure environments like this. How are children supposed to succeed in such a negative environment? In my fifth grade year a girl joined my school. She and I became good friends. One day she broke out crying. I asked what was wrong, and she said nothing. One day i went to her house. her house looked like this one. she admited her mom as a meth addict. the meal at school was her only daily meal. pray for these people...

Thx for posting this. I worked Psychiatric Services in a jail for many yrs and have seen people just spiral down. It's very sad seeing someone get arrested for meth and their life is going pretty well overall, then the next time things are a little worse then a little worse and finally a yr or 2 later they have totally lost everything and they come in hallucinating & paranoid. It must be absolute hell living with someone doing this to themselves & hurting everyone around them in the process.

Even just bought a few new R/C helicopters today. Go shooting at the range, surfing. Keep asking god to give you strength. I do speeches at groups for AA and NA to talk about my experience. Give it a try. Try to stay off a week. Then, 2 weeks...and so on. Give it a shot.
Anyway, I hope your mother is well, and still living, hopefully a happy life. Do you understand the severe depression that she might have gone through when she started doing this? It's not an excuse. It's something to consider before judging.
Sometimes, people do desperate things to stop depression. I've never tested drugs, but I've made the dumbest mistakes ever to stop depression.
She ruined his childhood and you're telling him to consider her feelings? Are you crazy? No matter how screwed up her life was at the time she is his mother and it is her duty in life to give her children the childhood they deserve NO MATTER WHAT. I don't care how depressed someone is- they do not inflict their issues on their children, especially not like this. She took away their childhood because she was too selfish.

its not the drug its the lifestyle it leads to, lack of sleep, poor diet and lack of ambition that causes these effects, know your substance know your source and NEVER EVER let it take over, i use several drugs not including the hard ones like meth and heroin but am able to keep myself in check, it all depends on your willpower.
@Ednumber39 Willpower and your reasons for taking them. Interestingly I stumbled onto this after looking at DID footage (formerly Multiple Personality). It really depends on whether you're taking the substance to enhance certain aspects of your life or whether you're taking it to obliterate your waking life. Some people handle trauma by blocking it out, some by developing extra personalities to carry it & others by using drugs. The ones who turn to drugs are unlikely to use 'in control'.

You're playing with fire but think that you're in control. I wish I had a dollar for every substance abuser who has ever said that. Middle-class & upper class kids often become addicts because they've lead such sheltered lives, they think that nothing can happen to them. Poor kids can become so nihilistic, they just don't care.

Im so sorry. I was on meth for four years and my biggest regret was that my son was there. Although he didnt see me do the drug, like you, he felt the effects of it. By God's grace, I have been clean for five years now and have no desire to ever do anything like that again.

There was a girl I was told about. Her mom was addicted to meth. She had to tell a teacher and her mom was arrested. She is currently in rehab. Bless the younger ones soul.

What was she looking for inside those walls? Perhaps hidden listening devices left there by the CIA? Possibly a small black helicopter? Was she saying that the chem trails made her do it? I don't know how that kind of delusional behavior can go unnoticed by friends relatives and neighbors for so long. Considering that a meth lab can blow up a lot of other people's real estate and spread toxic chemicals it really is everybody's business.

Crystal shaped my life too, well, it shaped my parents' choices which in turn affected me and my siblings. We were taken away and sent to live with our grandparent's when I was only 6, the others were younger, 3 and 1.
I've never been close with my parents. They got help, but it's hard to love someone who chose drugs over you for your whole life, and then they get sober and they waltz back into your life like everything's supposed to make sense again... well it doesn't and I hate them for that.

I NEVER SAW ANY OF IT! The scabs all over my mom's body from picking @ her self. What a life eh? By God's mercy & grace, mom's sober today. Thanx 4 sharing.

Sometimes, people do desperate things to stop depression. I've never tested drugs, but I've made the dumbest mistakes ever to stop depression.

its not the drug its the lifestyle it leads to, lack of sleep, poor diet and lack of ambition that causes these effects, know your substance know your source and NEVER EVER let it take over, i use several drugs not including the hard ones like meth and heroin but am able to keep myself in check, it all depends on your willpower.

@Ednumber39 Willpower and your reasons for taking them. Interestingly I stumbled onto this after looking at DID footage (formerly Multiple Personality). It really depends on whether you're taking the substance to enhance certain aspects of your life or whether you're taking it to obliterate your waking life. Some people handle trauma by blocking it out, some by developing extra personalities to carry it & others by using drugs. The ones who turn to drugs are unlikely to use 'in control'.

You're playing with fire but think that you're in control. I wish I had a dollar for every substance abuser who has ever said that. Middle-class & upper class kids often become addicts because they've lead such sheltered lives, they think that nothing can happen to them. Poor kids can become so nihilistic, they just don't care.

Im so sorry. I was on meth for four years and my biggest regret was that my son was there. Although he didnt see me do the drug, like you, he felt the effects of it. By God's grace, I have been clean for five years now and have no desire to ever do anything like that again.

I don't know how that kind of delusional behavior can go unnoticed by friends relatives and neighbors for so long. I remember being a gibbering animal, a snarling, reasonless fiend. Those are the things that made it so hard to leave it behind, no one wants to look at that wreckage. I know how lucky I am, because it is not easy to back out of that hole. You have to want life. ONLY YOU CAN DO IT!!!

Crystal shaped my life too, well, it shaped my parents' choices which in turn affected me and my siblings. We were taken away and sent to live with our grandparent's when I was only 6, the others were younger, 3 and 1.
I've never been close with my parents. They got help, but it's hard to love someone who chose drugs over you for your whole life, and then they get sober and they waltz back into your life like everything's supposed to make sense again... well it doesn't and I hate them for that.

I cant tell u how many times we went up there lookin 4 em. They'd watch us w/ binoculars from a mile away. Another time there were strange amoeba-like organisms comin down the AC ducts. I NEVER SAW ANY OF IT! The scabs all over my mom's body from picking @ her self. What a life eh? By God's mercy & grace, mom's sober today. Thanx 4 sharing.

my heart is broken for you. i was an addict and have been clean now 5yrs on Nov. 10th of this year. meth is the devil and I thank God everyday for helping me see that. i have a son and i am thankful that i didnt put him through an enviroment like you have been in. however i did lose custody of him and am now trying to rebuild what i have lost. you are in my prayers today and will be everyday from now on. i also hope that your mother found the guideness to put an end to both your suffering

I know a lot of teenagers on drugs because their parents are, but all the other children of drug addicts I know were either taken away or are still to young to tell.
