It's not that the hand movements are a bad thing, but she's overusing it. Maybe it's comforting for her to not have stage fright though. It is awkward standing up there with your hand that's not holding the mic dead at your side. *shrugs* Whatever works. It is indeed distracting though. Other than that, I gotta say that I admire her voice. :]

@cyberhmoob I'm not a great singer myself, but some of us do it for fun, not for attention or for hopes of becoming famous. You try to use big words and music vocabulary to support your arguments and deter Pakou's singing....but at the end of the day......most people will still agree that she is one of the best right now. I'd hate for so many Hmong people to use her as our female voice idol. Her voice is good but fact is. From a professional standpoint most professionals would agree that her tone is nearly emotionless. Tone goes up and down like it's uncontrolled and struggling to show emotion. There's no real vibrato of any kind that would suggest she ever had any singing experience before. Her hand movements are so overdone many people try hard to ignore it. @thawjzagxwb PaKou lip synced most of her performances which is one reason I no longer have any respect for her. She gets away with this using hand gestures and other distractions which worked well for the average eyes. She is not BY FAR better than the black girl. The semi so so cute & emotionless feel of her style is the biggest flaw to her voice. You can't slap any effect on her voice and expect it to reverberate properly or even sound profesionally. She's reached her best which isn't Diva Q.

i agree with most of these people that commented. your hands were distracting but its not too bad. sing into the mic. i notice you were moving your head with the music which caused you to move away from the mic, thus causing your voice not to be heard. another thing that is distracting is plusing with beat of the music with or body, try to feel the beat internally. lastly, the higher notes began to sound shouty and flat. you want to make sure you are reaching the pitch from above and not under.

She can NOT sing! Any person who knows music can see it. Yeah she's got a pretty face and she can hit a couple notes but she sounds FOBBY. Guess that's how most Hmong people like it . o.O. Lol kudos to the girl for having the courage to sing on stage.

I think she Is GReat, But i think she got Nervous maybe thats why she keeps moving her hands??
but i also think on the high notes she shouldnt push it out, well to me it sounded like it...

i don't think she's a good singer at all.. good singers don't use that much energy to sing such a low notch song... she tries to hard to make her voice strong it's ugly.. she shld keep it natural.. it's better

she is very good but because i have singing experience myself i realize she was getting too confident , which is a good thing but she is getting the confidence where she cant controll the way of her expression but she was great.

i agree with most of these people that commented. your hands were distracting but its not too bad. sing into the mic. i notice you were moving your head with the music which caused you to move away from the mic, thus causing your voice not to be heard. another thing that is distracting is plusing with beat of the music with or body, try to feel the beat internally. lastly, the higher notes began to sound shouty and flat. you want to make sure you are reaching the pitch from above and not under.
