Hey same-first-name-dude... despite 'blazinbimmer' looking down on you, I'd like to say thanks for taking and posting this video. I've always wanted to see inside one of these "hotels" (which are known as SRO - single-room occupancy hotels), and I'm sure you know that they're actually for those who are one step away from homelessness.

I once stayed at The Silvia Hotel in the Westend, and I must say that it's similar... but nothing is broken, and it's clean.

Ok so, you're recording a video to show how disgusting the hotel is, yet you're wandering the DT east side because you're expecting something better? And to top it off, you're recording to show how disgusting the hotel is, yet you have rented a prostitute who is staying there with you? Obviously you have some screws loose upstaires, if you know what I mean.

@blazinbimmer I took this video to show how gross it is for everyone else, but as for Lydia, she came over one morning when I was sleeping, and took over the bed. she is a good friend of mine, but I have a lot of things better really, I was visiting vancouver at the time, and this was the only affordable place I seen at the time too.thats all.

Yuck. As a Vancouverite, i am disappointed that a tourist stayed at the Astoria. How did you end up there? This is not a place for visitors.........Typically the Astoria is punishment for a lifetime of bad decisions. Sorry guy, Vancouver is so much better than that. Yikes!

@bernadettebeatty hi there, I had stayed there before 3 times and there is a lot of prostitutes who actually use that hotel for their business. the lady in this one actually is a prostitue and lives across the street from it. anahoo. I wont be staying therre agin from this experience anyhow.
