  • all of this arguing is ruining the amazing-ness that is this song. Good stuff.

  • What a fucking great song! Never heard this before. They really, really don't make songs or performers like this today. It's all about money these days. Justin Beibers and all these "American Idols" that aren't singing about shit are the ones record labels put ALL their money into. Thanks for posting this.

  • @themysticmangos no problem m8, 2 great stars here almost ignored by the media, the shit thats around today uh? not a patch on music like this.

  • the kids of every generation understand

dumb fucks think just because there days have passed no one else will be cool

your old and make up for it by saying people today understand

    people never understood anything

and the movement is strong today as it ever was

  • @oceanofwaves ... your talking bollocks, the shit out there today means fuck all, real music and angst has past, the bands of the late 70's even the 60's had things to say that relate with the public, today its all love you this and wanna fuck you, dance with me, kiss kiss bullshit. there are a few bands that mean something but if it wasn't for bands like the clash they wouldnt exist ie: clash/green day ...etc etc.

  • @keji1 you dont know shit every band all adds up to 1 mind and that mind makes something

theres no stoping rock n roll its always there

10 strip for 30$ at sphongle danced 10 hours busked and made 50$

im going to see subhumans this weekend and they are from the same years as the clash

well people will be danceing romanceing to rock n roll danceing busking

hitch hikeing train hoppin dust smokeing 10 strip eating until the world ends

go to a wto protest if you got "angst"

  • One of the best songs i have ever heard.....brilliant stuff..

  • this is wot music is all about.....

  • @TheJohndoe63 ... the kids today dont understand m8

  • @keji1 dumb ass old fuck you diddent even leave your front door cuz

you would understand your life is old like a news paper thats being recylced

  • @oceanofwaves ... what the fuck you blabbing on about you fucking imbecile

  • @oceanofwaves knobhead

  • Cliff recalled "Joe and I had met previously only at a distance, and we had never really had a chance to talk. He just came into the studio one day. He had some lyrics he had written, and he said, 'You know, I can hear Jimmy Cliff singing these words." The two of them began playing guitar, and I came up with the melody, and then Joe chipped in with some help on the melody as well. We recorded the song right away.

  • @ahclem .... just typical as to how a classic song like this can be made, spur of the moment type of thing, awesome stuff

  • GREAT montage of pics. Working on lyrics (by playing song line by line) but a few are unclear. From what I've googled, Joe wrote em with Jimmy in mind, but google has offered nothing. Have an email in to Jimmy's management, but no answer yet. Soon as I can, I'll post them here. Thanks M8

  • WOW!!!! THANK YOU!!! I'd never heard this. 2 legends united with a message that, sadly, remains relevant today.

  • @ahclem ... i know m8, i only found it in feb 2009, didn't know it existed, it should of been a released, would of been a huge hit

  • great to hear this. two great people

  • AWESOME DUO

  • yes m8, would of been good to have had them working more together.

  • @Vincenteloco . brilliant hearing these two people

  • @JeepersCreepersJJP .... isn't it just :)

  • Yeah, this version is way better than the one on "Black Magic"; I'm a reggae fanatic and a big Clash/Strummer fan, too, so I absolutely love this version. "Fantastic Plastic People" was released in 2002 and never reached the U.S.

"Black Magic" was meant to replace it for the American market in 2004. It's extremely tough to find, even getting it used online.

    Peace and love from Seattle

  • Simply Awesome.

  • its on the cd black magic jimmy cliff

  • different version on black magic , this version is on fantastic plastic people

  • Awesome. Which album is this on, or where can I find it. Love it. Miss Joe so much.

  • it was on jimmy cliffs album called fantartic plastic people ... there was also a version (with joe) on his black magic album but it was a different version which was not so good.

  • Pure, Pure Class.

    Thanks for uploading

  • No problem ...you nailed it m8 This song is awesome ..... this should of been released, They dont make music like this today do they .... i could listen to this song over and over for ever
