1. I always broke them. I would either sit on them, jump on them, get hit in the face with a dodgeball (true story). So they were always either bent or one leg was broken off.
2. For the really lame reason that some guys made fun off me. Lamest excuse ever, but hey, when you are an 8th grade girl, you don't want to start being insecure.
I've had them for about a year and a half now, and I'm loving them. Except when they get stuck in my eye...
My brother oftentimes held up X number of digits when I was younger, always including his thumb, then he'd ask how many fingers he was holding up and if I answered including the thumb as a finger he'd say "A thumb is not a finger! Hahahaha, you're blind!" Very irritating.
I get migranes, so it might be because of my eyes so I might need glasses. I don't like contacts even though I don't wear them. I find them a pain. Two of my friends had/have glasses and switched to contacts, and they are constantly complaining that it hurts or they are moving them.
My left eye is horrid and my right eye is nearly perfect. But I found that out cause of having DIABETUS so I had to get them checked, and the guy was all *wow your eye is bad WHY Y NO COME HERE SOONER* So then I wore round glasses and oval glasses and wire glasses and plastc frames. Then I wanted contacts when I was like 10 or 11. Contacts burn my eyes and I look high all the time when I wear them. So now I don't wear anything.
@bethiepi3 It took me awhile to get used to the feeling of having glasses on my nose so I hear ya. But once you get used to glasses it's weird to see your nose.
@renesmeelove77 Hahah I love how we have like almost all of the same experiences and opinions on contact lenses. I really like glasses too. I think they really do look flattering on most people that take the time and pick out proper frames for themselves. I could never pick out frames alone.

i wear contacs, as i always loose my glasses and for me they start to get annoying and bug my nose a little bit.
btw my glasses are just like yours, same sortof frame, and my eyesite is similar to yours too :D
sometimes when im lazy, i dont put my contacts in i just wear my glasses

i've been wearing glasses since 4th grade, im also near sighted
tried the contacts things for 3 months in 7th grade
definitely not my smartest idea
they stung my eyes, i was constantly loosing them
also the contact liquid cleaner gave me an eye infection
soo yea never doing that again
& besides i think i look better w/ glasses than w/o :)
