  • I love their accents :)

    I think it's pretty.

And people who think this is raciest. STFU

I mean I do not see how this movie is racist. I mean it's a kids movie! A KIDS MOVIE!

  • I am seventeen and I am IN LOVE with this movie!

  • i remember when we went to the cinema, the majority of the audience was older than 18 yrs, and laughing their heads off at the show, they really appreciated it, i agree with you yaoifox, even older ppl luv disney movies, especially a future classic like this one!

  • Oh man this movie is a true inspiration to me truely x3 I hope and pray I make it to be a Disney animator and be apart of something like this!! Plus I think they truely succeed in making Tiana an inspiration cause she's a character that follows her dreams!! Keep up with the classics Disney!!!

  • Oprah!? Wow, I didn't knew that - awesome! :D

  • oprah did a good job with her voice acting. :3

  • no. oprah voice as the mother. it doesnt match at all....

  • The perfect voice for Tiana. Very funny. When was the last time any animated character had a perfect voice in English? Americans don't know the meaning of perfect voice. The evidence are in the English version of animated movies

  • @Serdikhan Even disney movies?

  • The characters so need new voices.

  • That's the best voice for Tiana they can come up with. Gimme a break

  • @Serdikhan

It suits waaay better with her accent that without. It brings out the personality of the characters and that's better than being "perfect" and bland.

  • i love this movie

  • I need to see this movie.

  • I never realized it was Oprah as her mother.

  • at 2:40 she is saying that the heart of the film is : you should always follow your dreams... but thats not true , thats not the heart of the film... The heart of the film is : 'True Love is everything'

    love

  • This movie is deep because of Tianna's spirit. I get motivated by seeing her. I've always liked movies where the characters do they very best to fulfill their dreams and I also got a big dream that I had for eight years now. I like how even Tianna's spoiled friend in this is funny, nice and pure-hearted! Thank you for this, Disney! <3

  • umm aurora from sleeping beauty did have a mom

  • oh doesn't it just make u wanna cry? uhhh yeah

  • when they said they wanted tiana to be inspiring young girls, they were right even im inspired by her ! and im already thriteen. that means something

  • Hell, I'm almost 17 and I'm inspired by her! :D

  • Princess Tiana is a perfect addition to the Disney Princess club. She's beautiful and she's got a great singing voice.

  • wow this movie has a first for a few things...

for starters she id the first african american princess

secondly she is the first princess to have a mother that hasnt died or turned evil or any form which puts her out of the movie.

  • This is just like the movies I used to watch when I was a kid (Snow White - Lion King), & I think if they do more hand-drawn musicals we're looking at Disney's 4th Golden Age

  • Tiana is inspiring to YOUNG girls? Haha that's true, but I'm 21, and she inspired me to finally chase my dream of becoming a Disney animator!

(Hey, if you don't dream big, what's the use of dreaming, right?) I'm on my way!! Wish me luck! :D

  • @Phobic42

I love that you want to be a Disney animator. When you do, try and push for more hand-drawn films. =)

    Best of luck!

  • 2:10 is that not one of the aunts of Will smith in Fresh prince of Belair?! I totally lovuuud here in FPOB!!

  • i loo0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o00oo0ve diiiiiisnnneyy finally they'r baack with the 2d movies i hope they keep goin and stop the pixars

  • the pixar films are great but there is something--forgive the cliche--magical about the disney 2D films. i totally want them to do more!

  • I think overall, the animation and characters are better, but the music is lacking. I mean, the fact that the prince actually has a personality is WONDERFUL. And I'm so glad that Tiana is a hard-worker. And its amazing that both have a lot to learn. It isn't something you traditionally see in Disney animation.

  • i LOVE this movie!!! my friends thought I was crazy for obsessing over it so much, but when I brought them with me to watch it, they loved it too!!! Disney is BACK :)

  • I agree! It was fantastic!

  • Of all the Disney princesses, here are my top four:

    1. Tiana

    2. Mulan

    3. Jasmine

    4. Belle

  • :) tianas mom is oprah :)

  • I liked the last part were the frog jumps in to fill 0 in 2009!

  • My fiance and I wanna see this, me for the story and us for the traDITIONAL ANIMATION WOOHOO! Long time no see!

  • i sooooo wana see this movie !!!! :D i'm gona wish on every star i see and with some money to see this movie :D:D

  • faninnarnia quit spamming that message. What are you doing? Copying and pasting it on every TP&TF video you can find?

  • this movie is nothing compared to Beauty and The Beast, The Lion King, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and The Little Mermaid. It has a very common plot (like cinderella, snow white, and the swan princess). This animated film didn't even reach academy nominations. Disney movies nowadays is far worse than the classical disney films in the 1930's-1990's.

  • @faninnarnia Have you actually seen this film? I saw it last week and it was fabulous. I cried a little and thought YAY! welcome back Disney! I dunno how you can compare it to those other Disneys you mentioned, cos most of them were written and directed by the same guys as this. I adored it. The first movie I ever sawwas The Little Mermaid. And i loved this just as much. And don't talk about that common plot bullshit. Swan Princess isn't even Disney, btw. Go back to Narnia.

  • Hey, guess what? First off, academy award nominations aren't even out until February, and second of all, it's people like you who are so desperately clinging on to the nostalgia of the "classical" Disney that are dragging Disney's heels. Princess and the Frog was pretty damn good. Also, if you're gonna cry for the classical disney films, why are you ragging on PF for being just like Cindy and Snow White? -_-;; Some continuity problems in the logic there...

  • Greatest Disney Movie Period. Absolutley amazing, I loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love how we're all saying how old we are. Alot of ppl keep telling me they arent going to see it unless they have someone younger with them. Theres nothing wrong with being older and still loving disney princess movies! =D im 21.

  • I'm 23 and saw it by myself :)

  • @YaoiFox this movie is nothing compared to Beauty and The Beast, The Lion King, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and The Little Mermaid. It has a very common plot (like cinderella, snow white, and the swan princess). This animated film didn't even reach academy nominations. Disney movies nowadays is far worse than the classical disney films in the 1930's-1990's.

  • It hasnt been out for that long; only a few weeks. give it time.

And nominations are in the pending stage. It's nominated for a golden globe award and several annie awards

  • I agree. I went to see it by myself and I'm 42! People forget that adults are the ones that create these characters and stories. And seriously, children can name characters but not a lot of them can tell you what is really going on in the story!

  • Yeah, I'm 19 & my parents & I saw it three days ago, and I almost had 2nd thoughts when the ticket guy asked "Three adults?" SO glad I didn't

  • WOW CUTE

  • 22 yrs old and i LOVED this movie! About time Disney made something to rank amongst the classics!

  • i saw it saturaday and it was amazing awsome and wonderful im 12 and ive been waiting for an african american princess for a long time. i want to see it 3 more times at least .when does it come out on dvd! mabey next year

  • Oh man, I can't wait to see it! =]

  • finaly a animated disney movie

  • princess tiana is hot.. beautiful :D

  • Well it's long overdue. They didn't have to wait till 2009 to release it. Why didn't they release this in 2001 at least. It's really only because it's the right time for it. We have our first black President and our first black First Lady. R&B and black artists have never been bigger - Beyonce, etc. She is not old school (which would make her 20th century - 50's, 90's) she is very 21st century 2009 only modeled a bit on the Princesses like belle - except with a frog/not beast

  • going to see the movie tommrrow can not wait

  • I can hardly wait to see this I LOVE that Disney has gone back to 2D animation!!!!

ps I also love her dress at the end!

  • man i cant wait to see this and i'm 18. kinda wana wear a crown to see this lol i've been waiting for disney to make another animated film

  • Looks cute...but she sure doesn't speak like any of the other princesses...and I don't really care for the language. I can't remember that in any of the other princess movies either.

  • YES!11 I've been waiting for a full animated film from disney ever since they did some in Enchanted!

  • Tiana is so pretty and I love Anika Noni Rose's singing voice, it's so beautiful

  • I'm 19 and I'm so excited for this movie~~!! XDD I keep telling my mom I want to see it~~!!

I love Tiana a lot~~!! She seems to be a gret Princess and heroine already~~!! :3 And she's so pretty~~!!

  • haha I feel ya. I'm 17 and want to see badly. xD

  • damn..i'm 14 and i thought i was pretty childish to be excited for this..lol

  • you know princess tiana is 19 too

  • Cant wait to take my daughter to see that!

  • Tiana is so beautiful and has pretty lips

  • disneys back!!!

  • Aahahahaha, Oprah is a voice actor in this movie? awesome!

  • i love disney films... its what i grew up on... and someday when i have kids disney will still be around... its one of those things that will never die out.

  • cant wait its gonna be so good! im glad disney went back to its original style!

  • I'm so excited.

Your never to old for Disney films and I will be first in line. I fell in love with all of the Disney couples and I know Tiana and Naveen will be no exception.

BTW, that's a funny line from 0:28 - 0:32, reminds me of me and my mother's relationship. lol

  • I think Tiana (hope I'm spelling her name right) is gonna be my new favorite princess, she's independent, beautiful, smart, and witty!

Gotta love a girl like that!

  • i am 22 years old and i am proud to say i will ALWAYS love DISNEY 2d animated movies. i WILL see this movie and i WILL own it! i want to collect all these great animated DISNEY movies so my kids can watch what i grew up with. =)

    YAAAAY, DISNEY!!

  • Total spoiler 2:45

  • Is it just me, or does the blonde princess in pink look like paris hillton?

  • When will this be sold??

  • watching this gives me happy shivers ^^

but theres one thing im still a little confused about, so tiana ISNT a princess? :o im guessing her friend dressed her up to look like one and prince naveen actually believed she was :p idk!

  • I cannot wait to see this movie!!!

  • I can't wait to see this!

  • im a dude too and i am SO looking forwards to this. just as much as i looked forwards to Up

  • great movie :) hey does anyone know the song at the end? it sound beautiful and so much powerful :D 2:28 / 2:29 ?

  • omg i love the movie and the music :D

  • 2:04 i think i like Prince Naveen LOL

  • LMAO!! XD

    me too!

  • I wanna see this ... despite the fact that im almost an adult..

  • I am soo damn glad.. damn glad that good 2d animation is still out there..

2d can express the characters emotions, facial expressions and movements more fluently than 3d animation..

I do hope that this film becomes a success and that 2d would remain side by side with 3d..

  • I really must say that I am sooooooo damn glad that good quality 2d animation is still out there...

I think that 2D animation can express the characters facial expression and movements more fluently than 3D..

which is why I like 2D over 3D...

I really do hope that this movie becomes a success and 2D will still remain with

    3D animation...

  • 2:04

I think I'm gonna like this guy.

  • totally! he's adorable and hilarious! xD ^o^ (btw, adorable as a human and a frog. ^^)

  • I laugh so hard every time Buford makes that weird face when he's talking to Tiana. I can't wait for this movie to come out! Thank You Disney!

  • Uhhhhhhhhhhhh....

    I'll say it...

I cried. I'm going to try to convince my girlfriend to go to this movie with me. That way, it won't seem weird.

  • omg.... ur a guy and u want to c it? :?

wow!!! that's awesome!!! i didn't think ANY guy would want to c this movie. ^o^ (especially by themselves.)

man.. im 15 and i'll do ANYTHING to c this movie. idc if ppl say im crazy, i WILL do it. xD =3

  • lol same here! :p but its gonna be hard to go the day it comes out cuz of skool :/ grrr

  • if only my boyfriend was like you

  • Okay, Tiana is easily becoming my favorite princess. Her drive and work ethic are awesome-she's not asking for help like many other girls would do in her situation. CAN'T WAIT FOR THE MOVIE!!!

  • I am proud that disney is returning to it's glory days of 2d where the movies actually meant something to kids everywhere. I am older now, but I will still go see this lol.

  • LOUIS! XD

  • I must have this film poo its not even in the sinima yet.

    Iwant it know

  • is she a effing princess or not!!!!!!

  • i cant wait for this movie

  • Mama Odie is right: "IT'S GOING TO BE GREAT!"

  • I just got to say, Buford is awesome. A bit callous, but awesome.

  • HAHA AWW I LOVED THE LITTLE PART AT THE END when the 0 fell. Cute expression Tiana.

This looks so much more beautiful than all of that 3D stuff that's so popular right now. Glad 2D is coming back.

  • Traditional Drawn Animation pwns 3D. It's the truth. I hope Disney takes this into consideration more :)

  • this is awesome. why?

1-it's the first african american princess (whoop whoop!)

2-it's a 2d movie. i thought they died out, but then this movie came along!

    3-it's set in the 1920's! that's awesome!

4-she's more hardworking then the other princesses. she didn't have a fairy godmother or three magic fairies.

Can't wait for it to come out!

  • I'm so going to enjoy this film.

  • Disney ought to have done this sooner. I'm very ecstatic about this new film--not simply for the fact that it's reverting back to the old classical style of Disney film-making; but rather, they're breaking the tradition of having a constant white relationship and for once, decided to have a story with black people. Honestly, VERY good move on Disney's behalf! I have VERY high expectations of this film and from what I've seen by far, it's amazing, can't wait!!!!

  • I'm very excited about this movie, I grew up on the old 2d animated movies and this movie is going to be a breath of freash air to me as well as other disney fans.

  • True... I wonder why...

  • The image at 2:26 shows Tiana and Charlotte as grownups and as friends. I just love the fact that Disney, did that.

The power of friendship is still love.

  • This movie looks so cute! I love Tiana's Character Design. I also love the fact she's not a wimpy "come save me because I can't save myself" princess. Can't wait until this comes out! ♥

  • not to mention, the prince is not a sappy guy, he actually is not perfect instead of the disney prince template.

  • I can't wait to see this! Anika Noni Rose could easilly play a real life Tiana!

  • O.O they turn her into a frog.....this story makes no sense to me......aint gonna stop me from seein it though!!!!

  • since when did disney movies make sense? lol

  • This looks great. Tiana looks gorgeous and I love the concept that she's a hard worker whos taking her dreams into her own hands.

But honestly, if most of the movie is her as a frog, I'm going to be SO upset.

  • I totally agree with you.

  • Holy crap Disney is really breaking tradition with this princess film. No not because she's black, because the mother is actually alive and the father is dead. That's new it's usually the other way around. Ariel, no mother. Cinderella, no mother. Belle, no mother. Snow White, no mother...

  • You're right!!!

  • @dramamole

who cares. its oprah winfrey. lol

  • You forgot Jasmine & Pocahontas

  • I have high hopes for this movie. feel free to disagree but i feel too much of disney's energy lately has been to pop-culture, reality tv type things that have no real lasting substance. I am really very happy that it is returning to its roots and i think that this is going to be a great one! thanks for posting! ^^

  • this movie is gonna be awesome i can tell...disney is the best!!!!

  • I must see this movie

this is waht disney used to be. love, magic and the best villain you can get XD

  • i really like the plot of the story, it seems a bit more realistic than past disney films, i for one will be in the theaters when it comes out!

  • i wanna see this :D and it comes out on my birthday x3 lol

  • It's not that I have a problem with Disney princesses (I love them), but why whenever a girl is the main character, she's a princess or becomes a princess?

  • It's a Prestige thing. Nothing more.

  • I want to see this so badly

  • I can't wait to see this! Finally a 2d drawn movie just like the good old disney, but this time the princess is strong and independent and ambituous I like that. She's not some innocent lil thing aiting for prince chamring to save her. She has aspirations. :)

  • aww this is so cute!

and i love that she african american :)

now they need a hispanic princess!

then they need a greek princess too!

    oooh that would be cool!

    i love disney!

they are finally going back to the classics!

this looks so magical and heart warming like it should be!

    i love you disney!

this is beautiful, now i know what this movie is fully about :)

  • Well in a way they already have a greek princess - Meg.

  • technically Meg from Hercules was Greek or Roman or whatever.

  • Meg from Hercules classifies as a Greek princess. Looks like Disney's way ahead of you!

  • I don't think they need a greek princess Dolphin. I mean, that one Heroine(forgot her name) from "Hercules" may not be a princess, she should be respected as one.

  • wouldnt the Greek princess be considered Meg from Hercules? I mean she isnt a princess but still, her boyfriend's a god so....

  • in some version so f the myth Meg was the princess of Thebes and I guess she becomes a prince becuase she ends up with Hercules who is the son of the king of the gods, making him a prince

  • I think Hercules had a greek princess Meg...I think...I dunno if she was a princess actually XD

  • Yea, i think all the leading ladies in disney movies are considered "princesses". Cinderella wasnt a princess. Belle in Beauty and the Beast wasn't a princess. Meg as well. Eventually they became a princesses in the end.......and live happily everafter.

  • well, you have to remember that most (if not all) of the leading ladies that are called princesses have married princes. That's why.

  • Actually, Cinderella married into her princessness.. Belle the same.. As for Meg, eh.. I think she's just normal. I really don't get how Mulan is one though.

  • she marries a general, so yeaaa... she's technically not a princess either X3

  • I guess it's because she was given high honor by the emperor, and is respected like a member of the royal family.

  • no its because the frog thought she was a princess but she was at a costume party that her friend did who was a princess so that is why she became a frog to because she wasnt a princess

  • I saw a sneak peek and part of it shows the tiana's friend about to kiss the prince in frog form. Also the girl isn't a princess. Her father just calls her one. Once again in the sneak peek the girl says she would kiss a frog so she could become a real princess.

  • i love it already i like how she wants to own her own restaurant i have not heard of Disney Princess wanting to have a business

    love it

  • ahh I can't wait this and Where the wild things are makes me feel like a kid again

  • OMG I am sooo seeing this movie!

  • I have a really good feeling about this movie! I'm so happy they brought back the traditional 2-D animation

  • Tiana's like a blend of Belle,Jasmine, and Mulan in a way, except mulan's eyes of course. though definately a jasmine and Belle blend for the eyes, facial expression, smile, and lips.

  • That probably has to do with the fact that they're all animated by the same man, Mark Henn. Leading Ladies are his specialty.

  • i love this!!! i really cant wait to see this movie

    i hope its a sucess ^^

  • this is sooooooooo awesome!!!!! i can't wait!!

  • I figure the film will be a mix of harsh reality and whimsical fantasy

  • That's what I think too.

  • Thanks. Gee, Oprah sounds different

  • The featurette was cool! 2:03 When I saw Naveen tapping those sticks on his head, reminded me of dopey. xD

  • Lol @ 2:05.

    Oh Naveen, you're so silly...

    Thanks for uploading this! :D

  • i don't like how they keep on emphasizing that Tiana's not waiting for a prince to save her. For me, that brings her and other characters like Belle, Jasmine, Pocahontas and Mulan down, and completeley disregards their uniqueness and strengths. just sayin.....
