@SquirrelfromGradLife I did not lie, but made an educated assessment of where our HSF is going or not going. I fear, and hope I am seriously wrong, that when the last shuttle flies, that will be the last time you will see an American Astronaut fly on an American ship for at least 10 years. Being dependent on a foreign country for rides to orbit is NOT having a bone fide HSF as you think it is.
Well done! I remember the first time I ever saw the RSS rollback was when I was a new technician working on STS 114. Discovery looked so beautiful on Pad 39B as it was slowly revealed in about a hour's time. It's a shame it will all be over for the Space Shuttle program and for our entire Human Space Flight Program soon.
@RandomRockets First of all the American human space flight program is absolutely not stopping. Thats an outright lie. The ISS and the astronaut program at NASA are continuing. Ending the Shuttle program is like NASA getting of crack. You are saying its perfectly reasonable to spend 1.5 billion dollars on a Shuttle launch when it should not cost more than 200 million tops?.. is that what you are saying?.. because thats actually madness..
